Checked the scores online. Another iron willed effort on day 3

2 days and what 30 minutes. Have we ever lost or even won in quicker time....Disgusting.

Send them all of them home and give Australia A a crack at them in the 5th test with Pup to Captain in his final test. The worrying thing is being a dead rubber SMarsh will probably play make a ton and be hanging round the group for another 5 years.

I truly expected us to retain the Ashes. FFS all we had to do was draw the series.

It has been a horrible day in sport. :(

Wouldnt give Clarke a farewell game, not a fan of it. The side has disgraced the baggy green, send the bulk of them home.

Spot on. We have become what I once despised.

Punta says 8 of the squad will not play test cricket again. I'd say that's spot on

He named 4 as Harris, Rogers, Haddin and Wato but stopped at naming the other 4. This was before Pups announcement.

Surely Marsh and Siddle. Possibly Voges. Maybe Ahmed. When will they ever play him, not in Australia, maybe in Bangladesh but he is the wrong side of 30

It just sounds preposterous to hear half the test squad are done but it is time.

5th test line up possible changes. Could we see 6 ???
Farewell tests for Pup, Buck and Hadds.
Does Ahmed get a game
Probably M Marsh or Wato have to come in as all rounder
Stark or Johnson maybe get a rest for Siddle and we can have a 4 man goodbye party
Did we take Cummins over to carry drinks?

If I was the selectors I would give Cummins, Ahmed and M Marsh all a start and see what they can do.

I'd love for Rogers to play on past this series and play in the Australian summer.

Harris is a huge loss and it's time for Haddin to retire, I don't want Watson to play test cricket again but he still has plenty to offer in ODI cricket and would still have him in the coloured clothing.

We can all agree Shaun Marsh is simply not up to it while I think his brother has alot to offer IMO, lots of potential and will get better with the more test cricket he plays. I think Voges should remain in the squad and get another crack against Bangladesh and New Zealand. I want Joe Burns to be given more opportunity in the side this summer

Siddle won't get back into the XI unless there is an injury too Johnson, Starc or Hazelwood. I think picking Ahmed in the squad was right but age isn't on his side and he won't play unless Lyon is unavailable. I see Stephen O'Keefe as a longer term second spin option behind Nathan Lyon.

Look at the batsman who have succeeded this series....look at their stance, look at how high they stand and look at how high the bat is in the air when the bowler is in his delivery stride.

Now look a the players who didn't make any runs. They stand upright, hands above waist height, the toe of the bat shoulder height or above when the bowler hits the crease and they play from gully>midwicket on the down swing. T20...go and get ******. Batsman now think each ball is a boundary opportunity and set up accordingly.

Rogers has his hands about waist height, the toe of the bat about the top of the stumps on delivery. Neat, compact, defending the swinging ball by stepping on it, sniffing it and hitting it.

Joe Roots stance.

Smith. 365 runs in 8 knocks. Take out his 215 and his technique has been shown up.

What rock you been living under, SANFL been going since March.

Counting down the days till i get rid of FOX Sports package once the footy finishes. No decent sports on it in summer, save for the Bangas tour in October.
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

1 - Who spent the most money on transfers this year?

2 - Which of the three top spending teams will win it?

3 - Which 3 teams will be relegated?

4 - Why do we have to wait 6 months to find out the above?

You'd have to think that Mitch Marsh will play. Watto isn't tainted by the Nottingham match but that doesn't necessarily make him an in, given that Mitch Marsh can give the side plenty of overs. Nick Marsh will be (rightfully) dropped. Voges could also make way. I'd definitely like to see Cummins play, and to be honest Siddle couldn't do worse than the three bowlers who've played so far. Ideally, most of the side would be replaced with Australia A players but I would be extremely surprised if they added to the squad mid-tour.

All the Michael Clarke stuff is starting to flow out now but Hayden's comment about a young Clarke threatening to quit the Test team if he were made to fill in for Langer at short-leg says it all.

http://www.news.com.au/sport/cricket/mi ... 7477428888

Interesting tin the video in that article Craddock talks about the big changes coming up with the team after the Ashes and said about Shaun Marsh that he debuted in FC cricket just one season after Michael Clarke did but people are still talking about his supposed potential.

Gee, I'm glad I don't have to like our cricketers - just their achievements.
I could put a line through Hayden, Symonds and Clarke after reading that.

It's pretty well known why Symonds and Hayden don't like him. A lot of stuff not in that article. A lot went on after Hayden's last game and alot leading up to Symonds sacking. The Katich issue was very similar, but a little more to it.
