NORWOOD
Norwood will be without star midfielders James Allan and Mat Suckling for its clash with Port at Coopers Stadium on Saturday.
Allan will miss at least one match with hip tightness while Suckling will be sidelined for up to a month with an adductor strain suffered against Glenelg in Round 11. Key forward Lachlan Peter has been dropped.
Under-18 All-Australian Luke Partington (18, 180cm and 75kg) will make his league debut while Anthony Giannini (179cm) is also in the mix to play his first match.
‘’Anthony is a skilled half-forward with good speed and agility,’’ Norwood coach Ben Warren said.

R13: Norwood v Port - Saturday 11 July @ Norwood
Great win against the odds, missing half a dozen of our best side it was great to stand up against a side stacked with AFL players. Bauldy slaughtered Redden in the ruck and a great debut by Partington.
Krakouer was solid and repelled many Norwood attacks
Barring finals that was probably the last time we will see Norwood v Port

Hopefully the clubs stick to their words and evict them at seasons end. Plans are well under way already

Did we ever lose to the Zombie Magpies?

No its not funny just pathetic. **** off the tradition, Magpie and the prison bar ( plus stop trying to wear it in the AFL ) then call them the powerless. No love for Port but respect especially for players like, Phillips, Ebert, Williams etc. Wonder how they would feel? Morons wearing power to a MAGPIE game and kids chanting, there goes the past. As for crowds well last years G/F normally would of been a full house, but about 20,000 missing Magpies. ( If cows v port G/F, could play it on Adelaide no 2 oval for all the care factor. )
Feel sorry for the traditional black and white supporters as they seem to be dying off. Sad because Port helped make the SANFL such a wonderful and respected competition.

Re: R13: Norwood v Port - Saturday 11 July @ Norwood
but it wasn't a Magpie game, it was a power reserves game, unfortunately, so they can ween the supporters off the Maggies, they still wear the Guernsey.....but I don't think for much longer, it's bloody stupid & insulting to the old Magpie supporters.
