Certainly seems to the fans' whipping boy at the moment. Hasn't come back from that injury all that well. Thought he was handy enough prior to that though.

He didn't go into the injury with any great form either. I agree with MW.

Van Berlo another one of those c grade plodders that the crows have so many of which will mean they won't be a genuine premiership threat for the next 5 years

It's a given. No need to discuss it.

John Butcher, Paul Stewart for sure. Sam gray doesn't seem up to it, nor is Kane Mitchell on a consistent basis. Tom Clurey looks slow at the level, would be good trade bait along with Jake Neade

No one's going to pick up Neade. You can see why the two Perth based clubs overlooked their Sandover Medallist too.

yeah not sure i agree with the whole - this player is shit, lets use him as trade bait :D

To me those port players mentioned arent particularly bad, and they can come in and play their role when required, but they just dont really offer anything different either. With the exception of Mitchell who is somewhat eye catching but burns the ball, the others mentioned could play, and even play quite well, and as a neutral I reckon i would barely notice them.

For the crows, I think it is pretty obvious, there are quite a few at the bottom of our list that arent really close to selection. Even though VB will never be the best player on the ground I still think he offers something.

I knock VB ( not just the beer..... :YMSICK: ) pretty regularly, but I'll admit his return this year has been a positive for Adelaide.

What's his return has done is made the likes of Grigg, Wright, Kerridge and Martin ( among others ) earn their spot. Last year some of these guys got games when their SANFL form probably didn't warrant AFL selection.
