All televised matches up until State Game. A good result being that six of the first seven televised matches are on the main channel, and additionally prior to an AFL match (which can only mean a good thing in terms of exposure hopefully). Last season only nine of the 18 H&A matches televised were on the main channel.

ROUND 3
Saturday April 18
Port Adelaide v North Adelaide Alberton Oval 12:10pm SEVEN 12:00pm (prior to AFL at 3:00pm - Adelaide v Melbourne)

ROUND 4
Friday April 24
Port Adelaide v Norwood Adelaide Oval 7:10pm 7mate 7:00pm (head-to-head with AFL - Richmond v Melbourne)

ROUND 5
Sunday May 3
West Adelaide v Central District Richmond Oval 1:10pm SEVEN 1:00pm (prior to AFL at 4:00pm - Adelaide v Port Adelaide)

ROUND 6
Saturday May 9
Central District v South Adelaide Elizabeth Oval 1:40pm SEVEN 1:30pm (prior to AFL at 4:30pm - Gold Coast v Adelaide)

ROUND 7
Sunday May 17
Adelaide v Port Adelaide Balaklava Oval 1:10pm SEVEN 1:00pm (prior to AFL at 4:00pm - Brisbane Lions v Port Adelaide)

The team breakdown after those seven rounds will be
3 Port
2 Glenelg
2 South
2 Centrals
1 Sturt
1 North
1 Norwood
1 West
1 Adelaide
0 Eagles

Centrals, Eagles, Sturt and West were given the raw end of the stick last year with only two TV matches each, so at least Sturt hasn't had to wait 12 rounds this season for their first game and Centrals will have a couple on the board early. Still no luck for the Eagles at this stage.

Pretty sure I remember a forum from a couple of years ago containing a list of all the matches that had been televised since the ABC started it (1993?) which said that the Eagles had had the most games televised, and I think that Central v Eagles was the most commonly televised match.

Eagles feature in their first TV game of the year tomorrow.

No TV game next week for some unusual reason.

Sturt v Norwood is the Round 10 match (June 14th).

Because the Channel 7 deal was only for 18 minor round games, plus finals...

With 19 minor round games, one week had to be missed. It is this weekend...

I do believe the SANFL will be video streaming the North v Glenelg game on the Public Holiday Monday, with commentary as well...

What a really fecking stupid TV deal. What's wrong with one game per week plus finals?!!! Cheesus Crust.

The rest of the world moves forward while we slide backwards. Ten years ago we'd get coverage on the ABC every week PLUS coverage of ANZAC Day and QB games. Now it's treated like a chore to show SANFL!

You should try the WAFL's deal with 11.30am starts and a 23 week season (22 rounds & state games) with 18 games covered.

how the hell does that work? Don't WAFL games have juniors, reserves and league games at the same ground?

What a joke.

Does the WAFL pay for the coverage like the SANFL does here?

yes although I think they got the sponsors necessary.

I didn't even mention West Perth. The Falcons are sponsored by Channel Nine which included a nine logo on the teams jumper.

So none of their minor round games are being broadcast.

Hope they go all the way in the finals.

Well whatever WA are doing we should copy as we're currently the 4th best comp only and that's probably being generous.

Interesting. Maybe that's what Centrals should have done. They were told they couldn't have Channel 9 as a sponsor this year by the SANFL. So not only do we have to pay for the Channel 7 coverage, it has resulted in us losing sponsors. Which is a shame because Channel 9 were very generous in their support.

2015 CLUB'S MEDIA EXPOSURE (up to Round 11)

2015 TV GAMES
4 Port (2014 - 5)
3 Sturt (2)
2 Adelaide (6)
2 South (6)
2 Centrals (2)
2 Glenelg (4)
2 Norwood (4)
1 North (3)
1 Eagles (2)
1 West (2)

West and the Eagles are so far getting the raw end of the stick under this new television arrangement, featuring only three times each in Channel 7's 28 H&A matches covered so far, while Port (9), Adelaide (8) and South (8) lead the way.

A combination of Port/Adelaide/South have featured in 18 of those 28 H&A matches (64%), which will become 20 of 30 (67%) in a fortnight's time. Can't see how this is any good for the competition as a whole? How are clubs supposed to attract extra sponsors when they can't even sell the possibility of getting more than two games covered on television in a year (excluding finals)?

2015 TV/RADIO GAMES (Ch 7, Life FM, RPH; does not include online-only streaming matches)
11/12 Norwood
11/12 South
10/11 Centrals
9/11 Eagles
9/11 Port
9/12 Sturt
8/11 Adelaide
7/11 North
7/11 West
7/12 Glenelg

Glenelg has had the most matches go uncovered by television or radio (not including streaming) with five, while South had their first on the weekend after having none last season (with North, they were the only sides to receive TV or radio coverage in every H&A match, while Glenelg and West went silent four times each).

Good summary Scott. It's a bit of a mystery how the club with the smallest supporter base (South) has featured so often on TV. No surprise about the AFL clubs though.

I'm not 100% sure of the facts but I recall being told South (or someone at South) helped Channel 7 attract match day sponsor/s for their coverage, but am happy to be corrected as this was going back quite a while now.
