Pretty sure Mick could of achieved what Buckley has but who knows now

Or we could still have Didak and Thomas running around for us and be sitting bottom of the ladder.

FWIW, I applaud our list management and rebuild over the last four years. Yeah, we've got a young side, but it's something to build success on.

Worsfold to me at the end of his west coast tenure look physically unwell, I'm not sure if he has a physical capacity to take on the role.

Given Collingwood's performance since 28/07/2009, when Malthouse was coach, proves that Collingwood and you were/are 100% WRONG!!!

H2H: Buckley 5, Malthouse 0.

Didak out of the game for two years, would be better than those two combined.

Put Buckley at Carlton and Mick at Collingwood and im sure that result would be reversed. Mick left Collingwood in a pretty decent shape. In hindsight Mick should of finished when he left Collingwood

Maybe. We can only speculate. Ratten had Carlton in pretty good shape as well.

From my observations, Mick is using outdated tactics. The new breed has him covered and he hasn't bothered to adapt.

He didn't want out of senior coaching

He subsequently wanted to get out of his new "role"
Let that be a lesson to you Port, no one beats the Bays five times in a row in a GF and gets away with it!!!

Actually, he did want to step aside from senior coaching, which is why the succession plan was put in place....then he changed his mind and was a dick about it.

Mick 3 flags
Buckley 0 and likely to be that way
Matty Wade is a star and deserves more respect from the forum family!

I like the way everyone talks about Malthouse like they know him. None of us know the full story and probably never will, He has a great coaching record and he should be congratulated for that.

Carltons list is terrible, Put Clarkson or Lyon coaching that list it's the same result. But something had to give. Even just for the crowd numbers.

And in my opinion Buckley isn't even in the same sentence as Malthouse as a proven coach. He may end up somewhere close but right now no where near.
you've gota keep on keep'n on .........

8, Buckley has 4 years to match it.
I think Mick holds the record for longest gap between 2nd and 3rd flag of 16 years, most coaches would of been sacked well before that

Malthouse got a flag in his ninth year.

Didn't take him long to get Footscray to third in 1985. The teams that finished ahead of them would flog today's leading sides IMO. Buckley still has a bloody long way to go to match Malthouse for mine.

I don't think anyone is actually suggesting Bucks is comparable to any coaching legend at this point.
