An early night for you, LM?
That would've been the 2nd lucky girl for the night, just enough time to head back in for belt.

I've never been there, but what makes it great?
Is it the surface, facilities, the surrounds, or all of the above?
'All of the above' is how I feel about Williamstown Oval.

The surface is all santa anna, it's like an oasis in the middle of nowhere, it will never get muddy and the facilities are well laid out and spacious.
Williamstown Oval is picturesque until the winter weather sets in.

Cheers LM. I've always thought it to be a pretty good oval, but to be honest I don't see a lot of others outside our league.
As an aside the ground is privately owned by the club, so its all volunteer work, no Council help and we are yet to get any significant grants ever (got a couple around $5,000 or less a few years ago).

First time boundary in the pocket by the changeroom had to be brought in due to the inclussion of a swimming pool in that corner, the second time the semi final when you could barely lift your boot out of the mud, easily ankles deep. Seems to be a great atmosphere at the place and hope we can get a nice surface this time around.
Central United felt uneven went over on my ankle three times in a game I played for MP last year after having played in the b's for FU.

Hackham, Flagstaff Hill, Happy Valley, Reynella, Brighton, Morphett Vale the list goes on..... some of those grounds now would have some of the best surfaces going around.
