Any one at the OSB prepared to comment on progress this year? Excluding the shellacking by the twisties, they seemed to have had marked improvements against all the other sides they have faced in 2015 thus far.
Where's Bill? Yeah... Hmm... Bill is on the Villa Quatro, on the road to Salina. I will draw you a map.

Speaking to there players after we played them this year, it seems they have added depth, top 5 or 6 have always been right up there, then next 5 or 6 were ok, then after that it was a mixture of kids not ready or guys making up the numbers. Doesn't seem to be the case this year. A few injuries and they might be in trouble, but heading in the right direction and doing it the right way

DTH what is happening at Bomber (Latte) Land?

Certainly not behaving as Latte drinking yuppies should this week.

Understand Johnnie Walker Red maybe more appropriate? Red being the colour of choice this week at Bomberland. JW more suitable for the behaviour exhibited this week.

Although some did suggest the required team viewing this week was

Not some of your best work Vics. True toughness is winning a hard ball and the team that got up by 88 pts displayed plenty of that. But things did heat up at times which made it alot warmer at Brighton than the Hickinbotham scoreboard.

Not sure how much of the hard ball get was on display at SHSC where you were watching. Apparently at Brighton Oval there was a fair bit of while you are not looking toughness.. Saves them playing against tough opposition NFC in a few weeks.

Noarlunga scoreboard is actually a good place to watch the footy from

Looking at next Saturday's draw, the game of the round looks like being Happy Valley v Marion.

Unfortunately footy didn't do the talking MF.
One might call into question benefit of terminating coach just before last training session before selections. Combined with the media circus from Advertiser article it was far from ideal preparation for a game of footy.
I have heard that same group of people that appointed Keam on selection panel for next coach although one of these is apparently going away and switching his phone off for a week. Does this mean process will take longer? Hope that doesn't affect the quality prospects you have heard about

Interesting that the facebook sacking announcement has been taken down, I guess they didn't appreciate the media interest!

We live in a media driven society, if smart they could turn it into free advertising by talking about what type of replacement they are looking for and giving the journalist the right lines that would be quoted. Instead they have come across in a bit of a negative light. Was obvious it would generate interest considering the media circus created last year by Aldinga.

I heard a comment the other day that the previous coach deserted your club, far from the truth. The same committee that appointed and sacked replacement coach didn't reappoint him after he approached committee before the end of last season for what ever reason. HVFC results may have been different but we will never know.

This Happy Valley saga is the gift that keeps giving. The previous post is from someone with an allegiance to Sturt, Hawthorn and CLG. Now who could that be.

Pretty much spot on i'd say HG. 11 players from Saturday's side didn't play for us last season. A couple of returning players but a lot of these new guys were playing lower grades at their previous clubs but have turned into great role players for us (i believe we only have 2 players worth points) . We have been lucky with injuries (touch wood) our depth is better but still a concern and something the club will continue to try to improve over the next few years.

Been a great result to get over the line in the "winnable games" so far. If we can hit the scoreboard against the better teams and jag an upset or 2 against the middle to lower ranked teams along the way it would cap off a very solid season of progress for us.

Seems the saga may be over, the eerie silence out of Happy Valley may be a sign that the media black-ban has been reinstated down there. Sad, I was enjoying the input of Mister Footy & afc9798 etc over the last few years after what seemed like a non-existence of the HVFC on the internet.

Down the Hill.

I see the big (bully) forward dodged a bullet last night for his king hit on the week end.. 3 weeks and he is (maybe) going overseas for the suspension time in any case.

I wonder if he will so lucky dodging the gatekeepers on the way out?? or stopping at the big building on the corner for another case??

Hey Vics - Just stick to concentrating on your 6 times tables or is calculating what total points the goals and behinds adds to not in your job description. The SFL could do with you on GF day. We have a photo collage in our club of the 2011 GF. One photo was taken when the final siren sounded and the scoreboard reads Brighton 13 - 6 82.

Funniest SFL finals scoreboard situation I've seen was an Under 16 final at Porties one day. The scoreboard attendant started OK and the first score of the game was recorded, but then there was no change for the next 5 minutes even though 3 or 4 more scores had occurred. I wandered around to see what was going on and the bloke in the hut had fallen asleep.

Wow - there are some nasty feelings developing between Brighton & Hackham.
