Southern Football League
Re: Southern Football League
Maybe this idiot should have asked for some pointers on how to play the game instead of harassing clarko!

LGIL
Good publicity for the Hackham Football Club
Worse than having your coach locked away for being a violent feral hey LGIL
As for all the other keyboard warriors bit the same behaviour really..
Wouldn't be a club who hasn't had a young bloke do something stupid at some stage.. Some of the older blokes just need to thankful phone cameras were not around when they were young.

Re: Southern Football League
Jet Airport
The SFL have called an emergency AGM for Wednesday night after the shoes loss on the weekend. The are expected to allocate them as many points as they need to ensure 10 goal thrashings don't happen again.
Shoe boy would have that amount each week in the console of his car wouldn't he![]()
Not sure if the horticulturalist at Noarlunga has had such a good year??
I am sure the shoes will find some way to get around their
problem maybe they could rewrite their constitution and gain a new life member or 2??points

It was more highlighting the ridiculous situation where this is an apparently significant news item. Your efforts as a so-called "keyboard warrior" over time have been much more colourful than me posting a link to a news article.

Phone cameras have been around for quite a while Vics, we're just not stupid enough to film ourselves doing stupid shit like that!!!
Not good publicity for the Hawks and my guess is he may miss a few games for his behaviour.
The only time i've ever been wrong...was when I thought I was wrong!!!

If you wanted to teach the bloke a lesson then let him play the next few weeks.....
Can you bring a man to his feet when defeat is on repeat?

The Shoes story is a ripper. Gifting life memberships out in order to not go over points is pretty radical I would have thought?

What has Life Membership got to do with the points system?

So apparently the rules state that if your father is a life member of a footy club then the son is a 0 point player. On the weekend "allegedly" The Shoes made their new Ruckman Mulroney's dad a life member because of his service in the Army. The guy has never ever been involved with Noarlunga footy club. Now technically Mulroney is a 0 point player. So technically Noarlunga are doing nothing wrong but Morally and Ethically there is a whole heap wrong with this. Main 2 would be de-valuing and spitting in the face of their worthy life members and secondly making a mockery of the already questionable points system.

If above is true, this opens up a massive can of worms.......
Is the rule to accommodate - Army service or playing Football whilst in the Army?
Hypothetically... Say a lad moves from one club to another, can his dad be made a life member of multiple clubs due to Army service / Army football???
If so .... Could you then technically have a "O" point player shopping himself around on the back of his dad's army service to many clubs.
Would love some clarification on this.

People will always exploit loopholes in rules and regulations to suit.
Never heard of instant qualification of life membership for service in the forces at any sporting club I have been a part of.
Perhaps a quick change to rules surrounding eligibility was had by the football committee if true.
Don't agree with it if that was the case, and I am sure some living life members would not be too pleased either.

Re: Southern Football League
If true would be very disappointing for an officer and a gentleman to accept such an award.
One would certainly think that the Defence Force Disciplinary Act or Code of Conduct would frown upon such action. It is really gaining a benefit as a result of your position within the Defence Force not for something you have done..

It is up to clubs what reasons they present life membership for.
Again, another case of the SACFL implementing rules without really considering the consequences or loopholes.
Noarlunga not the only club to do it, last year I think it was that Goolwa gave Russell Ebert life membership for "Services to Football" so that son Brett could be recruited as a zero pointer. The ridiculous restraint that is the points system will create situations like this so that clubs can pick their best available players, not just the best combination that can fit under the points cap.

I wonder if any of these awards are awarded as per the constitution?
