Call me stupid but maybe it is because I used to see him run around on Gardens Oval in Darwin kicking footy's as a kid but I don't count Andrew McLoed as a South Australian - he's a Territorian.

And Wayne Carey is from NSW.

Carey was from Wagga but he did play State of Origin for SA - as did Craig Bolton, Rudi Mandemaker, Grenville Dietrich, Tim Evans, etc.

One could also suggest that Len Fitzgerald was a Vic too.

I put Carey in, simply because I had originally not noticed Blight as the 'follower' in the 1st team & had him @ CHF.

These things certainly cause debate. One might notice that I also left out Bruce Lindsay & Sean Rehn.

Might try to pick a '3rd XVIII' if I get time

To be fair, I am not really capable of assessing those players, having not seen footage or Live.
One can't really compare Jack Hobbs to Desmond Haynes for the same reason.

Of course, you guys who saw these players are welcome to contribute.

I think the point of naming teams/players is to prove Sheedy is wrong, isn't it?
