Brown finished the season well didn't he?
Danny Southern telling Plugga he's fat, I'd like to see that!

Reckon TTG will be too experienced. Hookes medal to Travis Head.

Match on definitely at Woodville Oval!
Woodville looked in control at 4/231 but TTG have struck back to have them 8/264 after 80 overs. Finely balanced.

TTG will get the full 96 overs tomorrow. A competitive total to defend.

Cracking game brewing!

TTG have a strong batting line up. Woodville's bowlers have been getting the job done all season.

Impressive effort to put 270 on the board. I thought TTG would have cleaned them up for less. They'll be disappointed not to have grabbed one tonight. Carl Tight Jeans the key tomorrow I reckon. Needs to get 4-5.

TTG got up by 3 wickets.
Evans 95
Davey 55
Turley 5/81
For every one I miss I am closer to a hole in one.

Tight Jeans struggled..... 1 fa and 11 no balls......lucky it wasn't a 1 dayer

TTG well deserved. Chased down 400 in the minor round then chased in the GF.

Good to see TTG finally win the 2 day trophy, been a dominant team for a while now and would have been a tragedy if this group did not win the ultimate.

Karma for Woodville too, their "Rising Star" winner this year got what he deserved, to see him get a Premiership medal would have been the pits!

Yep, exactly.

He is one of the biggest sledges out there, yet when he gets it back, he cries like a baby. This is A Grade cricket, what is said on the field stays on the field, but he kept going on about it. Last time we played them he called our keeper a cheat, even though they played Premier league together for NT team, tried to weasel his way out of it after game saying he did not mean it, can't stand the guy.

What made it worse in our local Messenger last week their coach had a go at our players for sledging and said we got what we deserved. Well, that's karma, he came across as a big sook and was good to see them lose and the tears flowing! Well done TTG!!

Well what a weekend. Finally after losing last year’s grandfinal the boys got to experience the ultimate. Losing last year probably made this years win so much better. As many of our blokes have said, they would hand back all the short form flags for this one.
Firstly a fantastic effort by Woodville who played the game to very end and could have easily batted for 2 days. Adam Sommerfields 15over spell with the old ball changed the game and Wints came back with the second new ball and cleaned the tail up.
Their innings was a great contest of good solid batting and disciplined bowling. We thought that if we could get them 5-6 down we could run through their tail. Then for us to grab 40 runs before the end of the days play was also crucial.
Our batting inning was the perfect chase really apart from losing Cuconits and Trav in quick time, and a couple wickets at the end with 4runs to get. The partnerships of Evans and Cuconits, Evans and Tim Davey, Borgas and Weavs getting the job done.
Great reward for the players who have stayed loyal to TTG and played through many a bad time. All apart from 3 played Juniors at the club, Sommers obviously from Mt Gambier but played for at TTG for numerous years, Wints via the ACT and Izzy Borgas from Northerns.
On a little end note, it was great to see back at the club the A grade boys got the U16white lads who also won the flag up to sing the club song with them. The look on the young lads face after was priceless.

What happened? I thought 210 wasnt enough against Kensie but getting McNeil obvioulsy helped.

Kensington were 3/120 at Tea, Schwert looking ominous. A good catch at 3rd man removed him and they just fell apart after that. Glenelg bowled very, very well. Bowled very few 4 balls and fielded excellent.

Glenelgs bowling was certainly one of the more disciplined attacks going round. What happened re the skipper?

My mail was he withdrew from last weeks game on the Saturday Morning with a back injury. Wasn't selected this week, nowhere to be seen during the celebrations.

Mail also said he had fall out with A's captain, Tom Plant. Story goes Nobes did not pick Plant in the 20/20 Grand Final at Adelaide Oval which Bays won, then after that Plant did not pick Nobes in A Grade for rest of season, so he ended up captaining the B's last few games. Doubt he will be at Bays next year, few clubs interested in getting him for next year.
