However have always recruited decent footballers with plenty of upside and have stayed for several years. Their sides that lost the 2 consecutive GF's was largely as a result of solid recruiting over several years. An unsure why exactly they had gone down the path of Switala, Halliday etc as they were never long term options. Hope for their sake they can't climb the ladder with the new recruits.
When 10-15 A graders walk away from a footy club its gonna hurt no matter who or wat club it Is so maybe give it 3-4 years and then judge the people who do the recruiting. Still a very young side with no doubt lots of improvement needed but I feel they heading in the right direction with the players they had last year and the recruiting they doing this year. Just wait and see I guess.
Not disputing that at all. Crows will discover that those year also. However Switala, Halliday etc on the wrong side of 30 for a reasonable amount of $$ when as you say are looking to rebuild after losing so many, wouldn't exactly say they were long term rebuilding type recruits.
So you have said Halliday and switala on the wrong side of 30 etc!! so who are the others on the wrong side of 30? And they both are very level headed guys with big footy brains also very good to have around young players.
It does amaze me how people "know" how much certain players are on. When in fact unless you've seen the contract its like chinese whispers. I'll agree players and clubs are inflating prices though. Trouble is if one club doesn't pay another probably will
Sutcliffe from ramblers and In for ardrossan? Kid is a gun, but also see a clearance for him to the SANFL as a top up for the crows, would imagine if he stays injury free will spend fair bit of time playing for them.

So far looking better than previous few which wouldn't be hard. New coach this year and doing it for no $. Have recruited a few quality players, plus a couple previously retired stars maybe making a cameo comeback as well. Lost 3 or so players due various reasons. They would be spending quite a bit this year with new recruits plus the ones that have been there for the past 3 years. I would only be guessing at a ball park figure as to what they get paid but it will probably be one of the more expensive years they have had. Ardrossan have been relatively financial. No issues there. In the past few years they have struggled with juniors. This year is no exception. Maybe just enough S/Colts and J/Colts. Not many Under 12s and I don't think they will have under 10's. Not too sure on the under 10's. I think they had a lot of kids doing the auskick last year so not too far off starting under 10s.

Very strong story that Scott White on $1500 a game at Bute. A lot of money so he'd want to be in the top 3 every week to justify that. At least that's what he told another club who spoke to him earlier when still at Willaston
Certainly proves how far off the mark some of the stories are when Scott White isn't even playing for Bute! You better check your sources there boys.Way off!
DB, are Wallaroo relieved that the Royal Croquet Club has ceased business for the year so your superstar Lachie Carey can now drag himself away from his role as big name playa on Adelaide's social scene and focus on the upcoming season? He is key to your fortunes this season you'd think?

A playa like Lachie wont take his eye off the social ball just because the Croquet Club is closed, he'll juggle his football obligations and his social desires nicely
