My suspicion is that the 5-6 returning from a year off due to injury and from stints in the SANFL system will provide the biggest impact

Goody Saints V Magpies @ Thebby one week then V's SA Country as Curtain Raiser to Power Swans the following Saturday at Adelaide Oval. That's two bloody tough trial games.

I reckon it would be Broadview or Uni leaning towards Broadview.

If you want to be pedantic, when's the last time Uni only had 4 teams?

bit strange that one simply cant get the list on of the past div 1 premiers within all the historical info thats on the league website.
http://www.saafl.asn.au/history
BUT NOT HAVING A GO - we are all very appreciative to have that info that is there & would be worse if we had nothing, so DONT take me the wrong way

jo172 - considering it seems Div 1 premierships are being won by 3 team clubs who Cs are in C1, would adelaide uni be stronger or more dangerous with 3 teams or its current 7 teams

Try http://www.saafl.asn.au/history/saafl-d1-grand-final?title=history/d1-grand-final

And as to your point, it gets a bit silly considering Goodwood has won the lion's share for the last decade. If you think what made (and makes) Goodwood so successful is the amount and positioning of their lowest graded team you're absolutely incorrect

yes. however goodwood Cgrade is the reserves of their reserves (Bgrade reserves)

whereas clubs with 4 teams or 7 teams, the C-Grade is almost a second franchise, focused on conquering a division 7 in its own right, some may say Div 7 agrade

ie: Adelaide Uni's Div 7 squad is a second franchise, they are not reserves of their reserves, and IMO this is a massive difference of club structure compared to the clubs that ARE winning Div 1 premierships

So Goodwood's C Grade isn't focused on winning C1?

They're doing admirably well to do so if that's the case

exactly, with a 3-tier system they are winning everything in sight - every side won the flag last year

can adelaide uni win a div 1 flag, dragging 6 other teams around behind them?

Let's not forget Goodwood U18' won flag as well in 2014. So four from four. 18's are coming through to play senior football at the club so the pathway is laid out as is C's and B's. Isn't that how you run a footy club.
