Anyway now that I have played every team this year I still feel Cove are still the favourite and with Mccard coming back it only makes them stronger. What is everyones view of keeping the ten team comp for section 1? Port Noarlunga would have to come up as they have dominated section 2. Which means it is a three way battle for the wooden spoon and relegation. Correct me if im wrong but i have been told that were Coromandel go down, it would be the first time in their history.

I think everyone's hope would be that Section 1 would return to 12 teams which would most likely see the possibility of no one going down.

section 1 to be 12 teams next year so no teams relegated and current top 4 in sec 2 aren't in sec 1 so 2 teams could go up.

Good luck to all teams playing finals this year.

Section 1 is a two horse race IMO. Cove V Keswick in the final with Cove making it 3 in a row in a high scoring affair at blackwood high.

I noticed Cove took the piss and walked there 3 in a row flag in
With Morphett Vale and Port goin 1 and 2 in section 2 u would think both have the case to go up to section 1

Cove lose only one wicket in the finals! Ramblers did drop both openers in the first over of the second day in the SF which helped their cause but only had a 100 to get regardless.

Surely a mere formality re Morphy and Port N....

Well done to joint Hewett Medal winners Jordan Kilderry from shiedow park and Heath Mckay from keswick.


Both made plenty of runs throughout the year and are well deserved winners.

Whats interesting is Coro going down in sect 1. Did they finish bottom last year?

Yep Coro finished bottom last season - but perhaps you already knew that ;)

And yeah ICC going down was at their request I believe.

What are peoples thoughts on automatic non-negotiable promotion and demotion each season? i.e. top 2 and bottom 2 of each section? I'm interested...

Icc requested to go down after they lost most of their section 1 side i believe. I think Coro should have fought harder to stay in section 1 as ill miss our games, even though they finished bottom after ICC requests to go down Coro should have fought harder. I know Port Noarlunga dominated section 2 there is a big gap between section 2 and 1 and I think only one team should have come up.

Automatic relegation and promotion doesnt work as we often have b grade sides in section 2.

Port Noarlunga had to come up will be dominant in section 1 and Morphettvale will be very competitive also .
Any new players to the comp anywhere ?
Cove have managed to hold onto the majority of our players and even managed to put in a 3rd team with some of our retirees from the past putting there hand up to have a C grade

Good news for cove with Kenny Hughes great great great grandson playing this year
porties have lost Reece Button to cove but gained Trav Clark (hard hitting lefty)

Good to see Porties & M/Vale in sect 1, a couple more good grounds with facilities to play at and both teams will be competitive. Can anyone from M/Vale confirm if they still provide jam & cream scones for afternoon tea? One of the best things about playing there back in the SCA days.
