My missus asked me this morning... Soooooo, how's this weather? I said 'Well I'm no weatherman, but you can expect a few inches tonight...'

Soon as you get some hot days stringing together here in Adelaide you can bet your bottom $ there is serious storm/cyclone activity in the tropics/sub tropics. More often than not the hot cycle is ended with a shit load of rain. Perth however always misses the storms due to its location.

My parents were due to fly out of Coolangatta tomorrow am. Flight cancelled this arvo, although were able to get a flight from Brisbane at the same time. Not sure it makes sense

I'm flying in to Gold Coast Monday morning for work. Flew over Qld during the floods years back and that wasn't fun. I suspect this might be as bad if not worse.

Might be too dangerous to get the planes to land there. They are 80 kms apart and GC being closer to exposed ocean might have worse conditions. Just a guess really.

tomorrow looks rainy too. hopefully it holds off for the people attending anzac day services. was going to attend the local footy games, but i think i might stay on the couch and watch 5 games of footy from 11am to 11pm. pretty decent compromise.
