I hope Glenunga gets to go up. Would be a fantastically Grand Final free meteoric rise

Re: Ch9 AFL Division 3 - 2015
Give them some credit...they did go up once via (losing) GF
In seriousness though, they are seriously the exception to the rule and although they've struggled at times, have done very well to meet the challenges of higher grades.
Good on em, I say.

Seems appropriate on the 10 year anniversary of when they should have been booted out for good

they had a crack at div 3 i beg to differ ........................they played in div 3 but failed to play like other years and fielded below par team week in week out now they have money and are relegated and have a semi decent squad they should have to replace another side that has done exactly the same thing

So if no one goes up, D3 has a bye? And if a team goes up D4 has a bye?

Quite obviously Salisbury West are in big strife.
Whilst we are at the bottom of the list North Haven were still asked what our response would be if it comes to that and the answer is no.
So Salisbury, Hope Valley, North Haven are out, any others withdrawn from the race?

I have a problem. It's to do with the little man, the squashed-in French man, the naked little squashed up hairy boy! You know! With the hand feet

salisbury west out of div 3..kilburn back up to div 3..woodville south back to div 4..brahma back to div 5 and either 9 teams and a bye in div 6 or see if somebody wants to come up from div 7..this view is taken with my lockleys hat firmly in place..

Apart from the logistical/administrative/planning nightmare this would create I have some sympathy for this view.
Having a 9 team Div 3 or 4 while having 10 team Divs 4-8 is ridiculous (although I understand that everyone is a victim of circumstance).

I'll never understand the hate for the bye.

Every time I've been involved in a league that has one my bye is always either Round 1 or Round 9 meaning that it results it a fortnight's break (sometimes leading into finals). It's quite irritating

It might be an small inconvience for one side if, in the very specific cicumstance, they had a bye in R18 and finished top (you'd think a team in that position is organised enough to counter the inconvenience). Though I doubt a bye has ever been the blame for a team not winning a premiership.
