Magpies v Cats coverage

Postby THE CHIEF » Tue Jul 10, 2007 5:43 pm

I believe that there is no coverage of the big game on saturday arvo on C10 or FOXTEL due to them both showing Port Power. However the Rosemont Hotel has this game live at 130pm. The S.A. Magpies will be ther and would like to invite Cats fans to come along as well. Should be a cracking game.

This game will be a beauty.
But it was more than a victory for Greece. It was a stirring example to free people throughout the world of what a few brave men can accomplish once they refuse to submit to tyranny.

Christ, pretty weird, went to the Rosemont for lunch today, by myself so spent some time browsing this site on my phone and came across this post!
I reckon I might go, might try and drag the missus along too.
I asked the lady who was managing and she said no special deals but there is the normal deals of $5.50 imperial pints of Pale (works out at about $4.10 for a normal pint, bargain!!) and $5 Becks I think it was.
Might have to wear some Cats gear so the Collingwood crew don't mistake me for one of them! :D

The meals are pretty cheap for lunch. Not too bad either. I can't wait for this game. We are a good group to socialise with and the added bonus of still having all of our own teeth  but if you park your car in Hindley St its at twice the risk than normal.

I can attest to the fact they had lunch, I have a schnitzel burger there yesterday for $6 and a Chicken Schnitzel with Mushroom sauce for $13. Not too bad when you consider Im only paying $5.50 for an imperial pint of Pale. :D
Only thing they don't have at lunchtime is the pokies (5pm to 11am)

Live in Qld. We get live Friday night footy too (for Fox viewers) on Main Event as well. Only black hole is that sometimes FTA and Fox show the same game. Usually that means Sunday afternoon (not twighlight) games are a casualty.

HA HA, I should have added they were on different days.

Anyway Im definately going, bringing along a Collingwood mate of mine and another who doesn't even like footy but the $5.50 imperial pints attracted him.

Will wear a Geelong top with a Rooster hat to stand out, see yas tomorrow! :D
