yeah I believe so Scotty, they've had their one year with one team, just like everyone else.

I don't think Wingies are going to get their two teams either, so that's possibly another 2 gone.
So FC if a club has only 1 team they can't play ammos or can they play in a C grade comp?

Same old merry-go-round..... A C Grade comp IMO implies that Clubs who have a "C" grade (or a third team if you like) competes on an equal footing with teams similarly disposed. By definition a single team would represent the Club's as an A grade side irrespective of their capabilities . As such they get to play with big boys in a Division hopefully that reflects their standard. How you measure this....well I'll leave that to some of our "experts"...
That said as I have stated before....if you can't field two teams.......work harder or merge.......

Blackwood have 2 other teams in another comp Cohiiba, do you really think they need to merge?
No, they just need to make up their friggin minds as to which comp they want to play in.
They've had their one year, they can't have their cake and eat it too.
Ye old Place Kick - new rules state that clubs must have 2 sides, if they happen to fall on hard times, they will be given one year with one side to try and rebuild and if they can't produce two teams the following season, they won't be playing in the SAAFL.
All other comps have a minimum teams requirement, it's about time we had one too.

Amazingly there isn't an uproar on the SAAFL enforcing this like there is with the HFL country comp.

Probably because everyone agrees it's fair enough.
Mind you if we want to debate the measurements on how we determine whether or not side will have two teams in February.... then I'm all ears.

No merge required.. agreed...My post wasn't about Blackwood rather my viewpoint to YOPK's comment to you "if a club has only (1) team they can't play ammos or can they play in a C grade comp"?...

So it's fair enough for SAAFL to do it but not HFL or is it fair enough for both comps to do it.

Totally different scenarios. S/C want to field two senior teams, but HFL has forced them to play with only one.

Want to & being able to are 2 different things, I'm sure the 4 SAAFL clubs under the pump want to fill 2 sides also. S/C don't fit the requirements of fielding junior sides & never have the whole time they've been in the HFL.

I might have missed a previous post or two but who said it isn't fair for the HFL to do it ?

Will Flinders Uni be fielding two teams this year? Any updates on them so far?

That doesn't address the one side question though. The safe would need to spell out the reasons as to why one team only is acceptable for Blackwood and not Wingfield for example. This opens a can of worms.
always forgive your enemies...nothing annoys them so much

I thought it was always 55 registered players for the clubs that need to provide proof?
