Would be surprised if he went on his own, last year when he spoke to a few clubs he and his mate Baker would only go as a team. So if 1 signs you might get 2 very good players.
Have heard that Baker and Childs may head up there

My news is that Childs has been training with Mt Lofty. With both players going, it makes top 4 tough for Willaston.
just wondering if anyone nows of ins and outs for BLG clubs either confirmed or rumoured , I know it is rumoured that my side Angaston have lost 6 - 7 players from last season's A grade side which will make things hard in the hills again this season
Only out Ive heard of is O'Brien being back at Centrals... I have no idea whether the club wants/wanted Lawton back so I dont know if he has gone or not, who are the other 4-5 players?

Hasn't Pech left mannum and heading back there?
had heard lawton , O'brien plus heard also that Woodards had gone again along with Daniel Williamson , Dylan Vanzini and Andrew Bajsi who were I believe recruits last year. Would be good if they are all stayng and that Pechy was coming back as I thought Ango were making good progress last year under Hermie

Apparently he has signed now, and they had a few more out last night as well.
Greenwood one of them?
Apparantly so. The Tanunda blokes in the pub I was chatting to Saturday night were quite bullish about their chances. Not sure how they fit them all in with points but they were saying there is about 10 new players, think most are coming from the Riverland way but have picked up a handy midfielder from down South. Was mentioned that Billy not coming back now, obviously couldnt find a big enough pot of gold to lure him back.

Add to that Marks who won the B&F last year, and was BSR's BOG in the GF. Theres also another one (I expect would be looking to play) who is yet to show up, that if correct, would have probably been the best KPD in the Independant league.
Maybe one might - might - play A grade. The rest are from a league that equates to about C grade in the BLG. How can a BOG in that grand final be anything to go by. Read the entries on the Riverland pages, where their own supporters don't see them as A graders in the Barossa. Being a gun in one league doesn't make you the same at a higher level.

I find it amusing the way Barossa locals continue to rate and speak about their league in comparison to other leagues around the place. Yes its one of the better ones in SA, but you'd be ignorant not to concede that the standard of the BLG has declined considerably since the 1990s and early 2000s and is now a much more similar standard to several leagues around the place. Based on the footy I have seen in the Barossa over recent years, the best players from most leagues would comfortably hold a spot in most (not all) Barossa teams. To say they'd be C graders at best in the BLG is laughable. For instance, I know of several current, regular BLG A graders, that didn't get a look in for a spot in APFL association squad (of 45 players). Pull you head out of the clouds hotspur........anyone that's won a B&F and get BOG in a GF can clearly play a bit.

I played in a trial against BSR last year and thought Payne was a standout. Don't know the other guys and obviously the overall quality wasn't great. But I'd pick Payne in Balaklava's A grade. Don't know if that's anything to go by.
