Hayden and Gilchrist are my top 2 favourite lefty's. Excitement, run making machines. Pity Hayden wasn't given enough time earlier on in his career. Just imagine had he performed the way he did when he came back to the side. Imagine the runs WOW.

That's the thing you're going to expect from Warner. You're either going to get a quick fire 100+ or a short lived 0 - 40. I know they have Rogers (all depends how long he lasts) there to be the one who goes about his business. But if Warner keeps achieving low scores, how long will CA keep affording to have a player like him in the side?

Just a thought. Not saying that he will just a hypothetical.

He'll be fine so long as the runs keep coming, same as any other batsman. The speed with which he scores is such an offensive contributor to the Aussies setting up for the win moreso than the draw, and I love that about both Davey and the team.

Yeah I know that and Im not knocking the bloke. Was just seeing what people's opinions are if he was to make fewer runs than we would like. I know he's a very aggressive batsman. Just sometimes I watch him and it looks like he's in for another big score and he gives his wicket up. That's the big difference in being a good batsman to being a great batsman. Knowing when to attack and when to leave.

I really do hope that Watto can produce a career saving hundred. If he doesn't I think it may be the last test we see him wear the baggy green for Australia. What pressure to carry on you eh.

Warner is a match winner
DONT change him
If he slumps , like all cricketers get rid of him

With so many flat decks around the globe, he is the man
He scores quick and gives the bowlers more time to bowl out the opposition

Different when the bowlers have conditions to suit
The main thing that counts is how many you make , not how quick

Agreed, I've got no problems opposition teams/players playing "close to the line" with respect to the aggression and verbals.

Some of the things Kholi does makes me cringe but then, so does some of the stuff Warner and Haddin do.

Excellent post

WARNER
Im glad you have raised his demeanours
I think he overdoes it , on field and in the press
He is a run machine at the moment , and what he is doing is being tolerated

Whilst David bats well , its more or less overlooked
But when and if he slumps , his conduct will then be scrutinised by the closet critics

didn't he just make a half century in the first innings?
