They did charge me $8.70 for a pint of super dry though!!!

You know it is pricey when you pay more than you did at the cricket.

Went to a gig at the Gov last night, $9.40 for a pint of super dry. Plastic cup too. Madness.

Look what happens if you by a tinnie of local Kingfisher Ale at the Mumbai Hilton.
It makes our GST at 10% look like a bargain...

They were about a third the price and cheaper than Coca Cola everywhere else I bought one.
OK admittedly it works out to about AU$ 5.65, but they were AU$2.00 outside the big hotel chains.

Ate at Jamie's Italian last night as part of a work function. A little upmarket, although not outrageously priced, I had a really good night.

Great food (ordered a starter and a main with a side dish), and was perfectly portioned so as not to feel bloated at the end of the night.

Food 9/10

Service 8/10 (a little slow but understandable given the traffic through there!)

Bazaar restaurant in the QT resort at Port Douglas. Would be in my top 3 eateries in my first 40 years.

Best Prawns ever and I can smash a prawn
Tropical fruits dripping with flavour
The buffet breakfast is the best I have seen. I'm still struggling 3 hours later.

Overall it's sitting at 9.5/10 for the food
Service is friendly and not horrible to look at. The chef has a hunch back but that is due to his passion on the pot 9/10
Venue is awesome. Price, well you get what you pay for. Don't mind paying for quality

My best mate went last week and said it was sensational but pricey. This was after a day on the gas at the cricket.

That was at 4pm Q. By 4am my back yard looked like a car crash with shit everywhere, people passed out and one guy running round with a whipper sniper. It got very messy after Australia's victory and we were already smashed crabs by tea.... To stay on topic we had ribs, wings, pizza and garlic bread from Walkleys Pizza bar and it was excellent as always but we were disappointed as we couldn't get any coke ;)
