It would seem they were investigated. Not sure why people have their knickers in a knot.
I hadn't heard we were being investigated (which is not to say it didn't happen though), and Joe was always going to retire. I reckon Centrals' copped a lot of the Salary Cap suspicion when they were racking up flags so I think it probably just comes with the territory. Particularly in our case when unlike the Dogs we've been found guilty of breaching in recent seasons.
Every club has their books checked at the end of the year, wouldn't call it being investigated. Even if the SANFL had a harder look at our books it has shown nothing that would say we were in breach of any of the salary cap rules.

Ha, hardly. Just trying to put this issue to bed. The only winners out of this argument seem to be Cibo with more people going there to try and hear any further whispers of rule breaches

Who did you overhear? 2 random blokes having a convo??
or is this just a fishing expedition?
No, I was having a chat with a board member & they told me!
A question on the salary cap. If a team pays all of its senior squad $400 per match but each player is paid a sign on fee of varying amounts, is the sign on fee counted in the salary cap?

No idea, from a Norwood point of view, whats a cap?

I wouldn't wear that for the $20, 3 in a row and that's what's on offer??

Good thing you will never have to worry about it then

Nah the white represents the colour of the flag North put up during the last quarter of the 2013 GF
Give us a break! We were coming off 5 straight losses in the minor round and played a few decent finals, at least it made for a good send off of Footy Pk

Ummm, kicking 4 goals in a GF would hardly constitute "a good send off" to footy pk
