Rather disturbing that of all the most recent jockey deaths have involved females.

a tragic week for the sport
Bloody sad indeed.
Spring racing, it should be the best time of year to be a thoroughbred follower or industry worker......forever a nightmare for those left behind by these tragic events.
May they be the first past the post for all of time....
If you want to go quickly, go alone.
If you want to go far, go together.
If you want to go far, go together.

Just shocking. Brought back memories of the night I'd heard Ayrton Senna had been injured, an eery feeling and you just somehow knew that the worst was going to materialise. Terribly sad, for family and friends of Caitlin and followers of the sport in general.

Terrible, we were only 200m from the fall, something I will never forget
She was going to ride Savvy last Monday before Strath got called off.
I work with Justin Potter's sister, he reckons he wouldn't be here if they didn;t have the new plastic rails.

Reported that Potter hit the rail so hard and at such speed, that his silks actually melted due to the friction.

Correct, has friction burns up his arm, and this morning drove across to Moe to ride his cup hopeful.
Tough buggers.

yippee, the 8 wins at 20/1
makes up a little of the pain of 2nd in the Murray Bridge Cup and the 60/1 shot running 4th under a good grip!
