Ryder deal should be done by 11am.The board met until the early hours this morning and I believe they have accepted Pick 17 & 37, took a couple of sweetners from the AFL to get it done apparantly.
Will then use 37 to get Cooney and 53 for Giles.
Head into the draft with picks 17 & 20. Hopefully no more complications this morning

Hope you're right.
If you don’t like my words, don’t listen. If you don’t like my appearance, don’t look. If you don’t like my actions, turn your head; It’s as simple as that.

Probably as good as you could do in the end. But geez it would have been good to send him the GWS for pick 4. Would of been handy.
Read my reply. It is directed at you because you have double standards

He didnt want to go there so was never going to happen. Was only ever going to Port, just needed a couple of sweetners to get it done.
Unless things have dramastically changed in the last few hours the paperwork will be done mid morning.

Probably good for all parties to get it sorted out in the end.
When will the Giles deal get done?

Re: End of season movements. FA, trades, bullshit etc.
good point made on trade radio
if boyd turns out to be a superstar, then they finally might have a player they can build a premiership team around.
if he turns out to be less than that, well they are in a position where they will have no money and no silverware - Which is exactly the same position they have been in for 60 years!
so its a big gamble sure, but there isnt much downside.

Whats the go with Taylor Hunt, soon to be delisted free agent. Why has he fallen out of grace at the cattery? Admittedly I havent followed him closely but seemed to go ok, no world beater but could be a ready made player for some clubs.

FFS, too small to play tall, too slow too play small. We have more defenders that size than any team
Smith
Henderson
Reilly
Jeansch
Laird
Brown
Ellis-Yolmen
Kelly

Also sounds perfect for AFC
probably a fair assessment on him, but should find a new home you would think.

he is bigger than most of the dudes you mentioned, seems to be to be a replacement for otten. would release henderson up onto the wing.
still doesnt solve our problem with wanting another key defender though

Offering pick 4 plus Giles.
Wont happen unless Paddy has had a massive change of heart. Sheedy is still very friendly with him, perhaps he can chat to him.
