Tom Kosimuseless  how he got to be in charge of the state's bank account I will never know.....

Could be worse look at Joe (poor people don't have cars !!!!) in charge of the Countrys bank account. Well I think they are as bad as each other

He was on ABC again this morning frothing at the mouth

Just one thing: Do 100 buses really go through the O-Bahn every hour? That's 1.67 every minute!!

I think that would be fairly correct just that a lot of them don't have passengers on board but are going to destination 'NOT IN SERVICE'

Never worked out where Not in Service was, seems a lot of buses are going there.

Also I love Tom, at least he believes poor people drive cars.

Of course he does - they act as chauffeurs and drive him and his mates around all day

I'm still struggling to accept one every 36 seconds
Also, I'm struggling to accept this so called "traffic congestion" that is going to destroy our way of life
I drove in at 8.30am and was at work within 20 minutes for the 7 kms distance.
According to Google Maps, it should take 13 mins, so 50% more is going to do my head in every morning?
Fair enough in Melbourne and Sydney, but I reckon its all a beat up

We should have an "safooty.net The South Australian Political Landscape forum" field day tomorrow to do the survey
We could have guest skolling from people like Clive, Mumbles, Cory and the Poodle.
Nick X would turn up whether invited or not - he can smell publicity like this a mile off

i would think, that at certain times, 2 per minute would be pretty close. as long as it was peak hour, and counted busses going both ways (full ones coming into town, "not in service" going out in the morning for example). as with most stats though, i would say while it might be correct in those circumstances, im not not sure empty busses should count, so it could be considered slightly misleading

18 mins to do the 7 kms to home last night
15 mins to work this morning
This traffic congestion is killing me
Maybe fix the 2 sets of traffic lights on Pirie St so we don't sit there waiting for some imaginary traffic and I could cut another minute off the trip

Crock of $hit

The OBahn tunnel exceeds even the highest levels of stupidity. The redirected traffic around the entry and exit points will create havoc, all to save 3 hundredths of a second on the bus trip.

All this delivered to you at a bargain of $160m

Maybe this is the traffic congestion Koutsantonis is talking about.
I love it when he does a Malthouse on TV - just shows how feral he is when he is taken off message

I was having this conversation today as well. Its $160mil, for a project that's not going to save a great deal of time really. Also considering how ****** up the states finances are.

On same note about burning money, I would like to thank the state government for my emergency services levy which has increased 3 fold. But I don't mind paying for emergency services, except when the government includes a nice statement with this bill as to why its increased 3 fold. Basically due a decrease in federal government funding to a range of areas, none actually included emergency services this bill has increased. So basically what this means is that the state government needs cash, we are going to build something we probably don't need, they wont raise another tax because that would be politically bad so they will just hammer the tax they already have and hope well all just accept this.

I guess we could always stop spending as much. Just a thought I guess, I don't really think these things through.

Bob Such has passed away.

The Libs will almost certainly win the by-election.

Rip Bob such.

Came about very quickly, he went on sick leave not that long ago.

Pergaps maybe we should let the dust settle a bit before we start trying to work out the fall out from this.
