 no extra time the reserves.

HB lead by about 32 points in the last before malala kicked 4 or 5 on the trot. Stribling sealed it with a great goal.

Not much to say about yesterday, better team won, hard to chase tails all day. On a other note Liam Whitwell announced that he has retired to work overseas, a great man, love/hate him, done a lot for junior footy not just for Mallala but at Association level and SANFL level along with state school boys, as a player always positive, good teacher for young players and hard at it as a lot of you would know, will be missed in all football circles, heard last night that Feeley also gave it away for family/work.

It was close the whole way through. Pretty sure there wasn't a bigger margin then 15 points the whole game. TW were infront most of the last, I don't think Virginia hit the lead during the 4th.

Seemed to cater OK but the crowd felt smaller than last year at Long Plains.

3100 is the figure I have. Undoubtedly down on last season, possibly related in part to no ABC Radio coverage this year. Not sure.

I thought the 2 best parts of the crowd to watch the footy were the hill where the Hamley supporters were and the area near the nets where the Two Wells boys were. You could fit a lot of numbers in those areas and there was a lot of atmosphere. I looked around the ground and it seemed like a lot of single file or double row standing or seating. Maybe Two Wells could build a big hill on the other pockets.
Great game to watch. Thought Hamley were going to run away with it in the last. Must have been 5-6 goals up halfway through the last quarter.
Mallala kept coming and coming and unfortunately ran out of time and fell just short.
Stribling well deserved BOG, had a lot of the ball and was well looked after by big Dowdell.
Heberle and Hanson were taking some big marks inside 50 and had they kicked accurately could have given Hamley a bigger lead.
Thought Mallala lost their drive off halfback by putting Jimmy Wildbore on Thach? Not sure about that match up, Thach was very good until he got knocked out but Jimmy provides run and carry and was deep in the goal square for most parts and didn't influence the game.
Clements and Montgomery are guns and kept Mallala in the contest and almost got them over the line. Harris was quiet and then got on the end of a few and kicked goals when Mallala needed them.
Congratulations to Hamley.
Now to see how many stay out there

I thought they did well. Plenty of people when I rocked up (9:30) to guide you to the carpark out the back, then had a parking marshall making sure everyone was lined up. As for the catering, I only had a salad roll by the netball courts so not sure what the canteen etc, was like, but the couple beers I had out of the community club were icy cold. Everything seemed to be running ok, so well done to Two Wells.

Crowd definitely seemed to be down from last year, not sure if it was the location or the fact Port played at 4.30 or a combination.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!
