Who cares what anyone else thinks except port supporters. Also who cares if they ripped it off from Liverpool. It's not as if it matters.

I don't care and I think it's great and any pre-game tradition has to start somewhere.

50,000 people embrace it every Port home game and the block of Richmond people next to us yesterday applauded in unison as the song rung out, many smiling and looking up around the ground soaking up the atmosphere. One bloke said to me he thought it was awesome and if they had to be copy cats to get that type of pre-game build up he couldn't care less, he loved it. He was less complimentary of the next 20 minutes, however.

Very enjoyable pre-game build up.. just wish the Port supporters could learn more than just the last two lines of the song

After 20 minutes the contest was over in many respects, but the manner in which they butchered the ball going forward until half way through the third quarter would have been painful to watch as a Tigger fan. Missed kicks, sideways / backwards movement, it went against everything they'd done for weeks now.

Chaplin would have enjoyed his afternoon, plenty of boys had words with him.

20 minutes? That's being generous. That match reminded me of North v Norwood 1989 Prelim. I walked into town, got flamin' swooped by a Magpie (a pretty bad omen if ever there was one), quarter time score North 6.7, Norwood zip LOL. Thanks for coming.

Chaplin had some great moments in the first, gave away a few frees being super tough and taking guys of the ball and also falling over his own feet in a one on one situation when the ball had hit the deck. I would have thought he would have got in Ports best.

As good as he was for Port, The likes of Boak, Gray and co. were more influential.
