I recall early in the season it was live as I flicked between the footy and rugby, but perhaps not enough were watching. Wouldn't mind watching the Penrith finals.

I thought the SANFL commentary was reasonable on Saturday night.

But Ch 7's television schedule still indicates that they are unable to squeeze in the grannie nationally. They're running with a repeat of 'Japanese Tsunami: Caught on Camera' on 7Mate, and a 4½ hour repeat marathon of Million Dollar Minute on 7Two, as their national programming. 'Cos they will rate so much higher than a footy grand final in late September.matt35 wrote:Yesterday's preliminary final telecast on 7mate achieved an average audience of 56 thousand viewers. Remember that number takes in the lead up and post match. Would be interested to see a peak audience figure, but don't have that information. Goes well for a very decent figure for the Grand Final telecast on Seven's main channel on Sunday afternoon!
Would be interested to see ratings for previous SANFL Grand Finals!
Thanks to @MediaWeekaus for the figures!

Ch 7's agreement with the SANFL was to only broadcast the game live outside of SA if it did not clash with the 1957 movie "Doctor At Large".
