Anzac Day crowd was 10,014.

Couldn't ask for a better weather forecast, fingers crossed that holds! I reckon around 12k.

It was just over 10K, from memory of the figures we got from the SANFL ground staff...

Yep 10 at both Anzac Day games give or take a few

The last time finals where played at Adelaide Oval didn't we get around 14,000 to them? With the novelty factor for neutral fans, a little bit more promotions they should be looking for at least 15,000.

I reckon they got close to 20k in 2007 or 2008.

15k at the 1986 CDFA Grand Final between Salisbury and Kaurna United.

Like a lot of other posts in this thread, that's some useless information!

So it seems team performance seems to correlate to crowds more tha baby afl influence which been positive in any event. Who would have thunk it.

I don't see how you can attribute that rise to reserves teams. Both Sturt v Adelaide games I've been to I've seen next to stuff all Adelaide supporters. Others correlate this at other games.
So how do you validate this?
How many Adelaide games have you been to?
When you have gone, how many other Adelaide supporters did you see there?

Looking forward to a comparison of the last 10 or 15 years since last year was so bad weatherwise.

They're the important ones for the future of the league. Hopefully a boffin, possibly called Phillip, is working on them as we speak.

Average crowds for games between the eight SANFL clubs this year as opposed to last year's.

on crowd numbers, though i think individual team performance has had more to do with the drops than anything else

Spot on Benny! No coincidences there. North and West, Grand Finalists the last two seasons, both have significant drops in form and shock horror, their crowds drop! Centrals mostly have an ordinary year until their late run home, shock horror, their crowds drop.

Considering the amount of people going to the AFL is up so much this year, I think for the SANFL crowds to be up also is a very healthy sign. Bring on healthy crowds for the finals!

the reserves cheersquad have arrived, excellent news.

So why did people attending games at Norwood Oval decrease this year?

Overall trends my ar*e, you've just picked the stats that back up your tired old argument in an increasingly shrill and desperate troll fest.

I'm merely responding to the post from your reserves loving colleague that 'the only reason SANFL clubs crowds have gone down is 'because of on field performance'.

Norwood finished a game shy of top yet our crowds were down nearly 7% at Norwood Oval games.

Pick that fact out of your no doubt intact cherry pal.
