Of the 23 named
18 on AFL senior or rookie list
1 leadership player - Henry Slattery
Steve Summerton
Nathan Krakouer
Angus Bruggerman
Robbie Young.
They could start the game with an ALL AFL lineup.
They won't but they could.

Re: Rd 17 Norwood v Port
That is one very strong side! Mind you their side was pretty strong last week and Centrals beat them in a classic! This should be a ripper! Port just.
No Surrender!

They had a similar strength side in round 1 but means nothing if you dont play for the guernsey. Hoping our boys rough them up a little and make them earn their kicks tomorrow. Our tackling and ferocity won us the game earlier in the season hoping for a similar effort tomorrow.

Correct. Port v Norwood will be on radio, with LifeFM covering the clash...
The West v South game at Richmond is the Channel 7 game, on 7Mate...

Admittedly my question is based upon recent rumours regarding Port 'being on the move'.
So, is your 'no' assertion based upon any verifyable knowledge?
There's no 'nitpicking' involved here 'matt35', just speculation garnered at Redlegville AND Wharfievale within 24 hours.
No doubt about it, I couldn't be happier if you are thoroughly correct.
Cheers,
Sabre.

Re: Rd 17 Norwood v Port
Ah Mal, making up fictional teams again I see! No such team as "Port reserves". Only the Port Adelaide Football club, playing as the Power in the AFL, and the Magpies in the SANFL. Saying otherwise on every Port related thread won't change the reality!
Hopefully a good crowd to see what should be a great game! Crowd at Alberton last year between the two clubs was 3586, and in 2012 4796. I'd expect something along the lines of the 2012 crowd today.
On Port home games, the reason they won't lose their home games is rather simple, because there's no logical reason for them to. The wider discussion is probably better on a separate thread, but what you would create is a whole lot of games with extremely poor crowds. You still get reasonable crowds at games involving Adelaide because of the people who support both their SANFL club and the Crows. Taking games from Alberton would create diminished interest in the Magpies, and understandably so, leading to very low crowds at their games, and that's in nobody's interests.

Denying the sky is blue doesn't make you right either.
The Magpies are Port Power's reserves team, don't really know how you can argue that point.

Lol, M35 you're a better apologist for the reserves farce than most Power supporters.

If thats the case what a joke
so much for promoting SANFL on 7 first v second and its not on tv.
Instead a game with one team in the finals and the other smashed by 89 points by a team that should be on tv.
Forget the obvious basis I would generally be interested in watching a game between 1v2 no matter who was playing.

What absolute pricks I've been looking forward to watching this Port v Norwood game.
http://www.ourguide.com.au/tv_guide.php ... aide&w=now
I'm getting a bit sick of this chopping and changing games all the time.
Finding out this shit 20 mins before the bloody game starts, I could've made plans to go out today if I had've known they were showing South/West FFS
