hardly. From what I hear it is a drive to get the original boys back. Yes they will be on contract and be getting paid but is a far cry from the path that got them in trouble in the 1st place.
Umm hello it's the exact same path, not only is it the same path but it's the same players lol!
What do you want them to do. Not recruit their last years players. They are damned if they do and damned if they dont. The club was in over their head amd they know this and wont be getting in that position again im sure.

Re: SAAFL Division 3 2014
Lol not at all, of course they need to recruit players, and I've got nothing against anyone whose played there previous I just thought it was a little humouring that you said they aren't going down the same path but are looking to bring in a premiership side for instance success and that half the blokes are the blokes who were there then moved on this year.
The reason mentioned about going down the same path is because over the past week that old Kilburn arrogance has returned, and I've heard they are aggressively and actively chasing players, and a premiership is being "guaranteed".

The Kilburn Syndrome..... "pay them and they will come".........Perhaps it the only way they know how and history teaches them nothing.....

Ever tried recruiting?
Doesnt really work when you say 'come play for us, I think we will finish 6th. '
Of course they are gonna say premiership is on the cards. Why else do we do it. From what I hear the recruiting is being driven by the players and the footy director isnt even involved. Nor phil martin. The boys have a few chats with each other. No money or incentives have been discussed with the board etc.

So what do you suggest they do? They do play in a semi-professional competition

The ball bounced over the defenders head and hit the point post, and was called a point by the young goal umpire.

Re: SAAFL Division 3 2014
2 trains of thought here.
1) if they can get their old players back, effectively they are recruiting 0 point players abd that is a gold mine for any club, which would still allow them to recruit a couple of new blokes as well
2) maybe most of the lads that left have realised its not all beer and skittles chasing coin in the country comps and that they are not as good as they thought
either way, provided the club don't pay them anywhere near as much as they were on, then it maight actually work, and give these lads benefit of the doubt, they may want to go back to a club that can allow them to all play together again.

The idea of returning to the exact same well that brought you to your knees is comical.

Kilburn should of shown there current coach more respect. The article in todays advertiser should of been written next week. I do believe the current coach is still owed 8 to 9 weeks payment, was told by the club he would be paid weekly im lead to believe. Wonder if he will see this coin.

Brave man to take Kilburn at their word for that!

Pembroke must be odds on favourites to pummel Iggies and send them packing in the first week. Home final for the Kings Men and a weak inconsistent Iggies side making up the numbers in 5th spot?

Pembroke Could be a dark horse like the PNU side from last year? My tip is Unley still but the top four certainly would fancy themselves, Seaton wouldn't want to go out in straight sets like previous years, whilst knowing a few Modbury players, they will be up and about to get back into divvy 2! Makes for an exciting finals!!

How are they a dark horse?? They are in the best form of anyone.
Unley, Seaton, Modbury, Pembroke are all even imo, the reason we are top is because we are the only side not to drop a game outside this group of teams, every other side had a slip up particularly early on.
If Iggies beat Pembroke this week I would be absolutely amazed!
I think Seaton will get Modbury. Home ground advantage and Seaton have a little more up forward. Competitive game though.
