Re: SAAFL Division C4 - 2014
Lakes 2nd forfeit in as many weeks, where does that put the club? If they forfeit again is that season over? Can they recover?
Glenunga still a sneaky chance to climb into the 5?

Re: SAAFL Division C4 - 2014
Been a difficult few weeks to pick winners in this grade, sides have struggled for consistency which is a worrying sign at this time of the year.
Rosewater v Lockleys looks to be a cracker match up this weekend, thought Rosies looked a better side than the scoreline indicated on the weekend and I wouldn't write them off at home in this match up.
Ingle Farm v Modbury shapes as a danger game for the Farmers. Modbury's D7R side has the bye, so will be interesting to see how they approach selection this week given their C4 side is next to no chance to make the 5. Ingle Farm finish the season with 3x home games culminating in a clash with league leader Lockleys which appears could be a game for top spot.
Mawson Lakes v Para Hills - Will be interesting to see if Lakes can get a side up for this 10:15 match with the club obviously limping towards the end of the season, struggling with injuries. Para Hills have stepped up a notch and forcing the draw against Trinity on the weekend is as good as a win in my books. A much improved season from Para Hills, will be looking to finish off strong.
Hectorville v Glenunga - Will Heccies have a side? Glenunga are still a sniff for finals, but i dont think they deserve to be there after poor performances over the last fortnight against lower ranked sides.
Trinity v Pooraka - Plenty of sides will be looking for this result with great interest as Trinity have begun to waiver in recent weeks and appear vulnerable for the moment. Pooraka playing for pride, TOS playing to remain an outside chance for 2nd.

Re: SAAFL Division C4 - 2014
Well the final 5 is set two games out from finals.
Rosewater will play Mawson Lakes in the knock out final, whilst it appears Trinity will be away to either Lockleys or Ingle Farm depending on next weekends results.
Interesting speaking to Trinity observers as well as Modbury players Saturday at Ingle Farm, that despite the comprehensive Ingle Farm will, both parties felt extremely confident that if the Farm played like that in the major round, Trinity would have no difficulty brushing them aside
With Trinity having Hectorville this weekend, it's possible they may receive their 2nd forfeit in a row - not an ideal preparation heading towards finals

Lockleys are getting into a good rhythm of week on/ week off ready for finals with Modbury giving us our 3rd forfeit in 5 weeks.

That's crap, at least you know you'll get a game next week!
Downside is, you'll most likely have the week after off for finishing top

You've got better % than us at the moment PG. (0.25 difference), so if you win next week you'll go top.

Re: SAAFL Division C4 - 2014
Looking forward to seeing the results of games this weekend...
Hectorville v TOS - Will Heccies have a side? 10:15 game at home, I would think so, this may well be the last time they field a team for the season though, scheduled to meet Mawson Lakes away in the last round. Trinity will be desperate for a big win after not getting a game last week, and look to stay within striking distance of Ingle Farm and 2nd place heading into the last round.
Lockleys v Modbury - Disappointing that Modbury have forfeited, not an ideal lead up to finals for the Demons who have been on the receiving end of a few teams pulling out before the game. On the upside, should have a full and healthy squad to choose from heading into finals. Anticipate they will meet Ingle Farm a couple of times over the coming weeks, so will be looking to stamp their authority next week.
Para Hills v Rosewater - Actually may be a tougher game than appears on paper. Para Hills have struggled, but Rosewater aren't travelling as well as they are capable of. Game being at the Paddocks, the Roos might be a sneaky chance of an upset - unlikely but possible. Hopefully at least can provide a strong contest.
Pooraka v Mawson Lakes - After a couple of hiccups in recent weeks, Lakes finally look ready to make their surge on the finals. On paper look to be one of the stronger sides with Reidy, O'Gorman, Dobbin, Clegg, Stagg, Nisbet, Smits, Slotegraaf all providing a wealth of experience and ability. This will be a hiding, and will create a chance for Mawson Lakes to perhaps make a serious move at pinching 4th spot in Rd 18 if other results go their way.
Ingle Farm v Glenunga - Win here secures top 2 finish for the Farmers and keeps their hopes of top spot still well alive and in reach. Once again home should work to their advantage, Glenunga have been up and down this season, but the past few weeks have slid away drastically and appear to just be making up the numbers until season ends for them next weekend.

Football royalty was on show at the Mawson Lakes V Pooraka match with Shaun Holland in attendance. Would like his thoughts on how the 57 year old Grandpa went for ML as well as that Henderson bloke? And how does think both will go in the State Over 55s team this year with the Super Fools Carnival held in SA?

Disagree, look over their squad that will play finals - on paper I would have them as one of the teams to beat.. I'm sure the past fortnight is a quiet indicator to their progressive surge. Wealth of experience in that side, that is invaluable.

Re: SAAFL Division C4 - 2014
Only really one game this week that will have any bearing on finals - Ingle Farm v Lockleys. Both sides are fighting it out for top spot and a much needed week off (probably more for Ingle Farm than Lockleys!)
Last time they met, Lockleys got the jump with a 7 goal first quarter, and the Farmers couldn't peg back that difference. Triple Header at home for the 'Dogs, plenty on the line, this match should be an absolute ripper! Like the B grade sides, these two clubs will likely clash a few times over the coming month.
Rosewater, Mawson Lakes and Trinity should enjoy comfortable wins heading into finals to top up the confidence meter just a bit more.
Finals prediction:
Lockleys v Trinity
Rosewater v Mawson Lakes
Ingle Farm - Bye
