I strongly doubt that.

Yes, he would have played.

Farewell games.....I'm not sure about.

One thing I'll say, these blokes give their all for a decade or more to the club, team mates and supporters. Sure, they get handsomely rewarded and setup for life, but in essence they spend their careers sacrificing themselves for others. Being a little self centered and selfish once in their career might not be a bad thing.
If you want to go quickly, go alone.

If you want to go far, go together.

Yep, as I said, I'm not sure about farewell matches.

Bit harsh on Dom really

He retired because his body couldnt hack the week to week demands of AFL footy which is why has has played only every second or third game.
This has nothing to do with him not being good enough, and he has never been dropped from the team.

This is exactly why he didnt play last week and if he had not retired, he would have played this week anyway.

He wasnt gifted a final game. He would have played this one anyway. Its just that he has now decided to pull the pin on his career because his body wont hold up leading into finals

So if that was all true why not manage him and get him up for finals?

only he can answer that, but knowing what Dom is like, he is a team first type so maybe he thought it was best for the team to get some consistency in selections rather than be in and out of the team every second game? His body is physically shot and perhaps its getting worse the longer the season goes

Logan can fill Doms role and should do for the rest of the season IMO

Its not like Dom has hardly played, and they had to wheel him out in a wheelchair and park him in the forward pocket just to give him a game.

Dom has been great this season in the games he has played, and has been picked on his merit
