Sorry! Well still.. you trying to compare Tony Hall to Betts?

Not as a player though. Just at how many goals it took for a pocket to be named after them, which I personally think is stupid.

The Eddie Betts pocket is a beat up, it's just his supporters having a good time (it's not as though it's officially named that way). They'll celebrate it when he plays well and cop it when he doesn't, but at the end if the day that's life as a football supporter across the board.

Like I said, Adelaide kept him out of the media leading up to his 200th as they know he's not a fan of the spotlight, yet they get 3-400 people wearing a shirt with his face on it and put his name on the scoreboard "Eddie Betts pocket".

Way to keep things low key marketing guru guys/gals.

As good as goals Eddie has kicked from that pocket, have a look at the angles of the pockets at the new AO, they are virtually non existant, the boundary lines come straight out from the point posts, which makes shots from the boundary easier than they look on TV, if the same shot at the same angle was at the MCG Eddie would have been 10m inside the boundary. Also explains why the ground is a high scoring ground, compared to others.

Spot light off the field perhaps, hence no press conferences or articles (although i dont read the Tiser so wouldnt know if Betts was interviewed for one). If you cant handle the spot light on the field then you shouldnt be playing the game at any level. I thought the shirts were a good idea and if Betts kicked a goal from that pocket he wouldve been right over to the fence, high fiving all the people wearing the shirts.

Oh well, we move on to the next round. Huge game v the Pies, finals make or break time.

Yep good point that is why Eddie's goals from the pocket at the MCG are better.

This was a freakish goal.

Never Tear Up our Tarps*

Don’t ask us
What we know is true
Don’t have to tell us
We’ve blown our golden start

We
We were flying
We were there
Top four was calling
I hope they never tear up our Tarps!

We could play
Against any team
Easy to hurt us
Just say One Nineteen

I told you
The Oval’s a hit
But if we don’t have wins
It will all turn to shiiiiit!

We
We were flying
We were there
Top four was calling
I hope they never tear up our Tarps!

First paragraph of tom richardson from indaily, weekend summary of afl footy
(he is a rabid crows supporter)-- made me laugh

We all have our favourite Dom Cassisi moment.

Mine is probably the first round of the now-defunct Wizard Cup pre-season competition in 2003, when he gave away a free kick in the dying seconds to the Crows’ Chris Ladhams, whose checkside goal gave Adelaide a one-point win.
Stumps....
