In recent weeks Division IV's ranking has improved as some of the lower ranked teams such as Holland's Hero's and FoxInSox have ramped up their scoring. This week FoxInSox 'wins' the lucky loser award as they performed credibly in a loss to the unbeaten league leaders Duromine Dependent. Foxy's 1763 would have bee good enough to beat 11 other sides but Duromine Dependent had this unexpected challenge well covered.
Other struggling teams to have come good a bit include Daisys Duds and the Crack Foxes. The Duds had an extremely productive bye period and he made it three from three when he cleaned up my lad DA HEAT which forced Leo's team outside of the top eight. The Duds are now well and truly back in town and need to keep that momentum flowing now that the bye period is over. Meanwhile, Crack Foxes broke what was becoming an extensive losing run when they returned to the winning list against Moe's onegameatatimers who can't buy a win in this division this season after claiming some top scalps last year.
The hairy Hobbits are the lowest scoring team in the top eight and they got back into the top four after the consistent Wigg Brothers beat Crawf's SuperSquad to knock Crawf out of the top four. Crawf has been far too busy kicking goals on and off the field to play SuperCoach so anyone on the outside of the top eight should be hoping Crawf drops a few more matches.
The Tongue of Fury bit off more than it could chew and they were smashed by scoring Pig Adelaide Crows. ZedForce returned to form and the top eight as they cleaned up Scros Swimmers who suffered yet another close loss. I reckon Scros have tripped over a Black Cat while walking under a ladder and smashed a mirror...and they lost their Rabbit's foot while doing so. In other words, a tad unlucky are the Swimmers.
Top eight sides hairy Hobbits and Crawf's SuperSquad appear to be losing a bit of traction in recent weeks as a tougher schedule for them both has them being found out a little bit. Daisy's Duds are on fire at the moment but there is still no room in the top eight for them after an inconsistent DA HEAT continued to run hot and cold. This week they were HOT and ZedForce were burnt badly.
The Wigg Brothers continued on with their winning ways accounting for the Hobbits that are hairy and Adelaide Crows, The Willies and Duromine Dependent once again put in strong showings this week. FNQ Trotters and Crack Foxes had good wins despite not racking up a huge score and Scros Swimmers got a much needed win that has them clinging on to the back of the train as it heads out from the station.
The season looks shot for the bottom five with one of those teams due to avoid relegation next season. FoxInSox are pretty unlucky in that they haven't broken their duck and wonderelephants are lucky that they've won two. Holland's aren't winning games but look to have more scoring power than his fellow cellar dwellers and at this stage they look to be the best bet to avoid the drop.

Tell me about it REB. Hopefully after a good score last wk the swimmers can start to put a couple of wins together and sneak into the 8.
There were two massive upsets in Division IV this week as two teams involved in a relegation battle knocked off top eight teams. Holland's Hero's, who went really well in Division IV last season cleaned up FNQ Trotters by a comfortable 78 points to remain out of the drop zone. This time last week I thought that the wonderelephants would never win another game for the season but they proved me wrong in sensational fashion when they scored a six point boilover over a previously white hot Wigg Brothers. I've heard that the coach was pulling his hair out towards the end of that clash.
There were a few other winners from the bottom part of the ladder as well. Scros Swimmers have been scoring well but not winning and they accounted for FoxInSox who will need to pull them up to avoid a winless season. ZedForce are incredibly outside the top eight and they are trying to force their way in. They certainly score well enough as an impressive 2480 will testify. Daisy's Duds were headed towards the relegation zone just before the bye but they are now one of the form teams in the comp after posting yet another victory.
hairy Hobbits are another side with a form line that is difficult to predict. Their scoring patterns suggest they might be in line to give up their spot in the eight but they got back into the top four at the expense of the high scoring Crows who now have racked up a third loss in this Division. DA HEAT have snuck above Crawf's SuperSquad who are starting to look like flat track bullies but it was business as usual for The Willies and Duromine Dependent who remains unbeaten so far this season.
This one is a cracking league with struggling sides firing up from time to time, an unbeaten leader with someone right up their backside and some high scoring teams that are prone to the odd defeat.

What a frustrating weekend in SC. Predicted to win by almost 500 points on Friday, still predicted to win by over 200 on Sunday, lose by 6 after scoring 350 less than expected. Big thanks to Jaensch and Dom Tyson.

Well Zedman, i did everything i could to lose but somehow got the choccies. Played it too smart taking emerg L.Taylors 101 by putting acres on the field then was left with no emerg for Beams with Shenton sitting on bench. Then tossed up whether to bench Higgins and just go with u and Ambrose but chose Higgins. That cost me 20. Rockliff as captain cost me plenty too, that was a last minute decision after Ablett only got 106.
Ambrose and Hibberd only needed 40 between them after half time, think they got about 30

i was shocked at their end tallys..assumed they would collect enough points to nearly win it for me, put off trading in darcy lang for the extra points today and saving a trade..beams is universal but the johnson omission hurt..well played!

9 and was planning on making 2 trades this week, mcgovern was a friday evening decision and very happy with it..
Just looked at my draw, should be able to stay in the 8 now. Have won 6 in a row and only just cracked the 8. Obviously coming from a long way back, REB even mentioned (hoped ) me in the relegation zone at one point My remaining games are against teams ranked 16, 18, 14, 13, 10 and 3.

How does your draw look for the rest of the season Swimmers?
Going by current ladder standings I have 13,10,3,15,4,5 Also by current predictions I'm predicted to win all except the last against the crows. But those predictions don't mean much anyway
