I was there a couple of weeks ago. Emergency got shut down coz someone flipped out, smashed the big glass door, and 2 chick cops jumped him and capsicum sprayed the motherf***er.
Brightened up my day.
Congrats mate.
I worked for a while in the store at Lyell Mc ( about 12-15 years ago ) and was on the Emergency Response Team. One security guard and three of the biggest blokes on that shift would have a pager, the thing went off about a dozen times a day out there!
Should have done their job properly 10 years ago and then they wouldn't have had to go through today.....
They did. Its the courts that failed.
Do you want to make a police officer have to live with the fact he killed a man for the rest of his life? Or would you have rathered they kept him in jail the first time?
Young bloke in town yesterday was wearing a big sign over his chest and back which read something along the lines of "Looking for work, will do anything for a stable income" and handing out his resume to anyone who would take it.
I rate it, thought that was very bold and different to put himself out there like that

Wait until the thousands effected by Holdens shutdown are out there doing that too.
Oh, and if you're under 30 you won't get any dole.

I didn't grab a resume, but I did offer him some advice on where he could go and put his resume that might be able to help. Good luck to him, too many people these days happy to sit on their hands and wait for something to drop in their lap or just be lazy dole bludgers.

The Coopers Dark Ale home brew that I cracked open last night. This was the first of the batch and it was pretty good. I pretty much gave up home brewing after the last batch of swill I made...
So its good to be back and making some decent beer.
