Where has the media got the idea that Sumich is such a good coach?? He struggles to string three words together.

Sumich isn't too bad on his TV committments on Channel 9, though I would agree that he wouldn't be regarded as "Mr. Personality". He has been part of the WCE coaching panel in recent yeras so the perception may be that some of the knowledge would have been retained by the wonky left footer.

Pyke is probably too far gone for consideration and Longmire's bubble probably burst when he missed the last round of appointments. I think if it's not Sumich, Harvey or McKenna, it would be likely that a WAFL coach with "street cred" may get a look-in like an Ashley Prescott or Peter German over another easty.

I think Pyke would be the ideal candidate for the Dockers position, i think they'll target him at the end of the year, but whether or not he takes the job is another thing.

This is probably completely unfair and just the way the media portray him .... but, to me, Connolly comes across like a bit of a fool compared to guys like Worsfold and Roos. I struggle to see him being a strong leader of a successful and professional footy club .... maybe that's because he isn't and they aren't :D

Someone like Pike or McKenna seems more like what they need to me.

Channel 9 news last night ran a story on the Dockers mid-season review meeting, with the inference being that it wasn't all happy and jolly. Rick Hart, normally happy to chat with the media, refused to comment point blank when usually he will give the media a word or two.

Did anyone see footy classified? Voss was very impressive, maybe he won't go to Freo but he could be a chance at Melb now.
What happened to Longmire i thought he was the best assistant going around. Sumich for Freo.

Early tip - Tim Watson will be seen as a better coach than Voss over the course of history.

What has Voss reeeeeeally got? Come on!

Matthews' knowledge? Wow, so do so may players that have been coached by him.

Is it really his caper? Well, having watched him (Channel 10) and Ian Healy :-({|= (Channel 9) presenting the sports news in Brisbane, they both better look outside the media for a long term job! :vom:
