I realise that the VFL is still on the ABC in Melbourne & we will no doubt get the 'dolset' tones of Peter Lonegan again but why aren't 7 covering it?
Oh wait a minute... there will be no PAP or Cows players in the game, now I understand

Um the VFL are hosting it so it should be broadcast on their partner station. I would expect channel 7 should be doing the same if we hosted it....

Um, FYI (back in the day when SANFL was King) although the Commercial Stations had the coverage, they used ABC Cameras anyway. Grand Finals for example had the images from the ABC but Commentary & Graphics from the Commercial Operator.
Can't see how that arrangement couldn't be repeated in this instance.
BTW JTC, Paranoia has nothing to do with it - the reality is that Channel 7 only came on board due to the Reserves Teams being added, that's fact.

And Phil Aspinall will be down on the boundary, Mr Kempe

I might say, some of the funniest footage/videos I have ever seen were the 'Xmas Tapes' his brother would send us in Albury - the things 'Agro' did to the female co-host (in out takes) were hilarious. As were the Play School out takes - I never new that 'Little Ted' was actually the off spring of 'Big Ted' & Jamima![]()

Also, ABC Coverage of SA Golf Open @ Grange Golf Club, zooming in on one of the Light Towers @ Footy Park, with 3 blokes 'chucking brown eyes' from on top of the tower
