Mallala comfortably over South Gawler.
United copped a 15 goal pasting from Freeling.
united very under manned but freo also had some key players out.
reckon Longies have a few one year wonders in the mix a couple of blokes getting feisty in a trial which isn't ideal for both teams.
I like it when im Right one bloke gone already who knows after that.

how is the coach going he always seems to be calm and collective and never yells
I'd hardly say they are getting pumped, they've won one, lost another by 5 points and another by 30pts, and one belting on the weekend.
that will only get worse

You heard right, Whitwell did give up the u17s gig...... he is now the coach of the A grade side.
Did I hear right that there is a new rule around players being forced (or be suspended for the following club match) to make themselves available for association football this season if selected in the initial squad? Its only a matter of time before that discussion cranks up again on here.

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Lame Choice might be able to answer this clearly but they were looking at making it compulsory if you're aged under 28 and non-complusory above that?

..that if any senior player selected for Association games and is 28 years of age or over from the 1st January of that year, has the right to decline selection without penalty from the Adelaide Plains Football League. The APFL are to be notified of their intentions no later than the first training night.

Not sure how old he is, but it'll be interesting this year to see how many over 28 players decline to represent the APFL. I can see this new rule disappearing next year if the APFL can't field a competitive side.

I think it is a great rule and should be there to stay. What does it matter if the association doesn't field its strongest side. To me the whole point of association footy is to give the youngsters (under 28) exposure to a higher level of footy. Nobody remembers 2 weeks after the event who won or what the scores were.
From the Tigers I would be surprised if anyone other than Pym, Hood, Beard (U21) and maybe Shimmin made the squad.
If you don't like it, change it. If you don't want to change it, it can't be that bad!

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
From Hamley Bridge we have Hanson, Heberle, Taylor and Thach who played last year. I assume they would be in the squad having played last year.
With Taylor leaving and Hanson and Heberle over 28 they might want the weekend off.
So from Hamley the players would be Thach, Stribling, Duncan, Dowdell, Appleton and Zanandrea.
U/21's Oxenham and Darwin

Jim Solly not in the squad?
Is he not dominating this league as expected?

Unfortunately, I don't think he would ever get the sack given the risk of potentially loosing his mates as well.
