ST 11-11
EG 15-5

EG were holding ST at Bay
But then Kane kicked a goal
Perhaps if Hinge Duldig and Kane perform well the EG make not keep them at Bay

Ben Kane scores another goal

EG need to keep ST at Bay
Perhaps Chris Kane and McGregor can keep ST at Bay

You watch some nimrod Port and Crowz fans take credit for the decent crowd.

I'd be surprised if it was anywhere near 4000. Clunky game but pleasing to fight it through to the end. Eagles the better team all day, Sturt's defence and tackling pressure - key features of the past few games - were tested and found out.

Sturt had 4 more scoring shots. If they had kicked straight they would have won.

Not sure I agree on the Eagles being better all game. Sturt had the 1st qtr honors IMO, Eagles definately dominated the 2nd qtr, the 3rd and 4th were very even, probably in sturts favour getting back from 6+ goals down. Eagles deserved the win, but wouldnt say we didnt deserve it if we pinched it. Our missed shots on goal cost us big time, some we would kick in our sleep and the one that bounces side ways from the goals square - 2 go in its a different ball game.
