ran in to a few Boston supporters last night, they are talking it up a bit for a side that has finished last 4 years in a row.. think they have forgot how far behind they were last year but in saying that good luck to them

The quality kids we have will improve out of sight with some bigger bodies around them.

Forwards like Dale Gerricke will also come on in leaps and bounds with other options around them, Dylan Dunn for example.

And yeh souths were 14 goals away grand final day... I've never said that won't improve but talk of a flag is getting abit a head of themselfs!

A flag is an unrealistic goal and will put unwanted pressure on the kids. Forget it for now.The tigers have no key position players of any note or ruckman which will be the downfall, on the positive side they have heaps of runners and quick kids who can develop over the next couple of years.
I wouldn't rely on Dillon Dunn winning you to many matches, he will get the best defender each weak and defenders will work him out pretty soon.

suppose the league backpedals on the life ban allowing Barry to play.... Barry cleared to play again takes to the field and keeps his cool for the majority of the year.... A brain snap sees Barry king-hit or "coward punch"someone behind the play causing a facial injury or brain trauma... will the league be held accountable for damages and compensation? knowing that under the laws of the league he should not have been allowed to take to the field again? do the crime, do the time?

The SANFL make the appeal decision don't they? The PLFL operate under the SANFL banner and I am sure they would have millions and millions of dollars in 'liability insurance'.

I hear a whisper from the PLFL that a certain club is being investigated regarding recruiting and recruiting protocol after complaints from 4 other clubs against the club. It may go to a tribunal hearing as apparently all clubs were warned of protocol by the PLFL earlier. Issue is no letters, training with clubs while not cleared.

If its about a club recruiting (poaching) juniors from other clubs i've heard the same rumour. Although im pretty sure there were only two clubs who put complaints in to the board….and one of the clubs who have complained has a lot influence at board level...

It will be interesting to see what the league will do. My guess would be 'not much.'

How can that be an issue? would have thought if a club allowed a player to train with them, it would be the players choice (any time of year, not just pre-season)

You cant just train wherever you want to, not send letters etc. It looks like one club who claim to have poached 20 odd players has disregarded all rules after being warned. It has become a major white elephant that hasn't been spoken about, until now, but rival clubs have been talking and are starting to get sick of it. 4 clubs have now put in official complaints led by the closely related club.
A tribunal hearing date is to be set. I wouldn't expect much to happen in way of a penalty but might be a wake up call to the club who obviously don't have the right procedures in place.

if a player wants to play / train at a club this time of year they should be allowed ....... and why would the club worry about a procedure, the league down there doesnt worry about half the sanfl / country footy policies / rules!

Firstly. What club are you aligned with mate....
You could be talking about Stiffy for all we know.

Secondly. Unless he was drafted, rookie listed by the Adelaide Football Club as an 18+ aged player and he is a huge name(for local circles)
then he probably wasn't on the Crows list.
The only other way he would have been on the list is if he had an AFC scholarship ie Tex Walker

But in saying all that.. Congrats on the recruit.

contracts dont often, if ever, hold up!
clearances are so a player cant play wherever, playing is a lot different to training! and this is preseason .... if i was to change clubs at the start of the season i would want to train with the new club before signing, wouldnt you?
