Wouldn't be certain how many games he'd play for them - he's done no pre-season for that level.

How bad are Glenelg going to recruit Jim Jones.
He would not be in the best 5 ruckman in the BLG last year with McKenzie, Howard, Griffiths, and Christie miles ahead of him in abitlity and football knowledge.
They should have given luke Wells a ring he would make Jones look like a B Grader.

Heard a rumor on the week-end that Luke Howard may be back beofre seasons end and this would make Centrals that short a price as premiers the bookies would close up shop.

Looking at those guys, Howard has left for Qld, looks as though McKenzie is playing at Centrals, Christie left for the Amateur league and Griffiths going to the Riverina League.

Are there any ruckmen left in the league?

Mckenzie is still at kapunda, he is actually the A grade coach I think you will find, but please correct me if I'm wrong.

I think Sambo you will find that a few years ago Glenelg did give Billy a call and he went down for some pre season and decided that it was too hard for him and he returned to Tanunda.

As for what is happening with Sammy Agars, I also heard he was off the Hong Kong in July but the latest is now that he is going to play the season out.

Apologies for the silly question but who is Billy?

Luke Wells, a top-notch ruckman at country level. Every side in the league would have him on board if they could.

Gawler Central had their first hit out for 2014 last night at Salisbury North.
Salisbury North had two midfielders and a defender out.
Gawler Central had Dunne, Molyneux, Brading, Gibson, Bova and Blakemore out.

Gawler Central 1.0 5.1 7.2......10.3 (63)
Salisbury North 3.4 4.8 6.14...6.15 (51)

Does this give any indication as to the standard of the BLG competition now??
Look forward to the comments on the comparisons of the Div 1 and BLG comps....

Looks like SN may have kicked themselves out of the game. Did Mercer play?

looks good for centrals, the hawks are a very good side, didnt the donnies come close to goody saints in a trial a few years back also. BLG is right up there with divvy 1 footy, div 1 probably has more depth maybe?

Good game between Angaston and Hamley Bridge yesterday.
Scores level at 3/4 time and Angaston won by 3 goals.
The full forward and small on baller were best 2 for Angaston.
Very close game and probably should have won with 3 imports not playing much after halftime with a few injuries and some inaccurate kicking .

Angaston's full forward would have to have bagged 7 majors, was the difference. Although he did get help by some poor defence.
Angaston's skills and run were solid, have to tip them to improve a fair bit this year.

Someone said to me last night the full forward was good from Ango but was a bit of a show pony and played to the crowd.
Must be good mates with the midfielder O'Brien so looks like the bar takings will be up this year at Angaston.
