How many extra players have they recruited or where are the extra's coming from?
Is this the first time in near 40 years they may have C's?

Lobethal had C's in 92 and were premiers, in 98 and 99' and premiers in both those years too. There was no C grade comp between 92 and 98 therefore three in a row! Don't know ever you got the 40 years from, ask Blackwood and Bridgey who got beaten by the Tigers in the C's in those years, they'll remember!

Thanks for that.
Was out of the picture for a fair while including that period. Was told they had C's back in the B'2 era of late 60's and 70's

Re: HFL C Grade discussion
Would be great to have Sedan-Cambrai in C Grade if that's correct. I don't think either Club will mind the road trip. Very disappointing Callington imploded without entertaining the idea of Cs which would have kept the Club alive.

Yeah Callington should have bit the bullet & gone this way. Was there a Bridgewater/Callington C grade side last season & if so did they play in the old Eagles jumper.

Yes there was an Eagles/Bridgy side in Cs and they played in Eagles jumpers. They struggled for numbers every week but did their best. I'm told the Callington component will be almost non-existent next year.

So does that mean Bridgy will still field a C's?

Re: HFL C Grade discussion
HTR is the C's starting to shape up as Milang, Blackwood and question marks against Uraidla, Bridgy and Mt Barker.
Plus the likely introduction of Sedan and Lobethal?
Any other clubs thinking of putting their hand up.

All over now Blackwood are playing C grade elsewhere.

Where are they playing and when was that decided?
If all over who else has pulled the pin?

The Blackwood Football Club has taken the decision to enter our C Grade team into the Amateur League (SAAFL) for season 2014.
This was a difficult decision and not one taken lightly as we are fully supportive of the Hills Football League.
Ultimately we believed it was important that our players had the opportunity to play Saturday football in a full 18 round competition. We were not sure this would occur in the Hills League C grade competition.
It is now critical that we see as many players as possible at preseason. Please call Adam Pope on (0410438969) if you have any questions, or to introduce new players.
The C Grade will be in either the C3 or C4 division of the Amateur League; we will be advised in late January.
We feel this decision creates the opportunity for all BFC players to be involved in a quality, full season competition and to enjoy their football to the fullest.
Sorry just found this on the Hills central thread.
HTR what does this mean for Milang?

Re: HFL C Grade discussion
I think Blackwood leaving the C grade if it happens would make the C grade more appealing for other clubs if the comp can get enough clubs.
Lets face it Blackwood C grade were very dominant . Now a good chance for other clubs to play in GF and a potential premiership.

Re: HFL C Grade discussion
As a poster mentioned on another forum I think the C'Grade clubs 'consider' the prospect of playing at a 5:30/6:00pm time slot on Saturdays.
There's no time on and games would be done and dusted by the time the presentations are finished. Would create a fantastic atmosphere at clubs and for those that state the old - some blokes wont hang around that late to play due to plans then I say - stuff em. If they're tied to a club they'd normally be at that club until 7-8pm on a Saturday for a meal and presos.
Just a thought.

Re: HFL C Grade discussion
Have been well behind the play of late and just heard the news re Blackwood's exit. Good luck to them. They have always been a deterent for potential C Graders in the HFL and most clubs have had to scratch for players willing to get a hiding against them. At least this will clear up the never-ending queries about who was eligible to play and who wasn't. The two Leagues now involved can fight that out amonst themselves
As for Milang; there are always question marks about the future of Cs at this time of year. As is stands, Milang have plenty of lads who want a game and have had complaints from players that pre-season hadn't started yet
We just want to play good footy and enjoy it and we have the crew to make it happen.
As usual the 'powers-that-be' will determine where, when and if we get a game this year. Our players and support staff just want to get out there for a kick.

Re: HFL C Grade discussion
What's the story with Cs HTR? Will it go ahead this year and if so when? Do you know how many sides are in and what days/nights would Cs play?

With Blackwood C's now playing ammo's Div 8 what will that mean for the C grade for this season?

C Grade is on in 2014. Consisting of 6 teams: Milang, Uraidla, Bridgewater, Ironbank, Onkas and Lobethal.
Great news.
