At Balaklava we start them in the "mini-mini's" (U8) from 5 as this is the age from when they can be registered with Auskick. From my years involved with this grade some other clubs will let them start younger. However I found that even with the modified rules there is a big enough difference from 5 to 8 years old without having younger kids playing.

So 5 should be alright in ""mini- minis"", that’s my thought anyway; they the coaches treat it like auskick anyway!!

The league gives out a set of rules to the coaches for use by umpires, most clubs stick to them. Last season neither united nor Virginia had under 8's, only under 11's with 5 year olds playing against 10 and 11 year olds which was a but dangerous but both clubs (like most) are struggling for numbers in the starting grades as well as the older colts grades.

I see a Nathan Rose clearance pending to the APFL from Port District? Where to it doesn't say.

Paul Stelzer to Mallala. Bates as well. I assume Bates is 0 points?

What about retirements? Hahn? Young? Feast? Any going around again or those who did retire having second thoughts?
