Well said. We weren't really expected to win that game, but we took a risk and took the Dogs on at their own game and smashed them. I just wish we would do it more often.

On Wells, even though he is named, I don't believe he will play, last week he was "no chance", and earlier this week it was reported that Wells still had not completed any competitive training, or football drills that required side ways movement, with the timing of the mid season break, I do not believe they will risk him...

Crows up by 27pts, Massie, Thompson and Mattner back on the wing have all been outstanding.

Kanga's have missed some set shots but the crows have too been unlucky, Massie kicked a goal but the goal umpire gave it a point after it deflected of his shoulder in to the post, Johncock got the rudest holding the ball decision against him which gave the Kanga's their secong goal, 4 minutes in the exact position at the other end of the ground, the umpires paid a ball up after a Kanga's player dragged the ball under himself.

Still some improvement left in the crows, Roo, Edwards and Welsh have been reasonably quiet, the Crows Tall forward structure seems to be stretching the Kanga's

The third quarter was crucial for the Kangaroos if they hoped to come back and Crows did their thing and held the 1/2 time margin intact leading in to the last quarter.

Kangaroos looked a bit ragged all night and missed too many set shots.

Really good win by The Crows. Does make you realise just how much of a barometer Welsh is for Adelaide. Also great to see Bock grab a game by the throat - more please!

Agreed, the Kanga's look a tired outfit, my view is, it will be a tough second half of the year for the Kangaroo's and Collingwood

Positives from the Crows, the midfield, Thompson's outstanding form, Mattner's moved back to the wing, Massie came in and played an exceptional game, Doughty is recapturing the form from last year, Van Berlo's past two weeks have been exceptional, Knights continues to rack up 20 plus touches per game.

Throw in the old heads of Edwards, Shirley, Goodwin (next week) and cameo midfield runs from Roo , not to mention the pending return of Birdman and Radar, maybe the crows are starting to develop the midfield depth needed to challenge sides like the Eagles.

Forward structure, Bock, Kenny, Proplyzia and Welsh all worked well as a unit, but they were assisted by quicker ball movement into the forward 50m, Kenny's form and flexibility may make it difficult for Perrie to regain his spot

Hudson, he was fantastic tonight, his second efforts were outstanding, McIntosh picked up most of his touches in the back half

Johncock, well he is back, I thought he was outstanding tonight, his regained his match fitness and I expect a big second half on the year from Stiffy

Roo, well he still looks half the step behind the pace, but he is not far and may be the Ace in the pack to drive a serious for a top 4 spot

Overall 7 - 5 is par, 8 - 4 would of been a better result at this point, but I expect a much improved second half of the season

Most importantly, Crows paid $6.75 fot +40pts, nice healthy return

Agree, but this is something that just needs some fine tuning

Craigy in the past has been critical of over using the h/ball, once they start to use the forward h/ball to release runners and they start to develop confidence in their running game, than you will start to see the h/ball numbers start to drop

Went to the game and overall, the Crows were very good.
Some overuse which needs to be ironed out of their game, but mostly clean and effective.

Kangas were 'found out' a bit tonight, they looked pretty ordinary for most of the match and were frequently under pressure.

As for the umpiring crucifying the Roos, that's rubbish.
There were bad decisions for both sides and the Crows were easily the better side, regardless of the umps.

What about the shocking holding the ball against Johncock, which gave the Roo's their second goal, then minutes later up the other end, a Roo defender clearly drags the ball in and the other ump calls it a ball up, not to mention Massie's goal which was not given because the goal umpire did not confess that it bounced of his arm prior to hitting the post......

Refer SD's comments ... if Johncock wasn't crucified with the holding the ball call, well they had the thorns on his head and had him tied to the cross.

Roos ball use and field kicking as well as inability to mark inside forward 50 for the last 3 quarters pretty good guide as to what went wrong for them in the 1st quarter.

Umpiring not the reason the Kangaroos were 4 goals down AT ALL

I think the Kangaroos were exposed slightly TBH - the last 2 times I have seen them were v Melbourne and then last night. Not super-impressive in either but 7-5 is still better than most.

Crows still not 100% clean moving through the corridor - 10 weeks until September to get it fine tuned.

Bottom line, I don't think the umpiring had any direct baring on the margin or the result

The Kanga's had more influence over the result, for example, their kicking for goal from set shots

Kangaroos vs Adelaide was a very boring match.
The crowd wasn't loud which made the atmosphere bad and the scoreline was pretty bad aswell.
