Kikuyu . Tolerates wear and tear well as it has runners and thus self repairs. Can be invasive into garden beds.

There's a fixed speed camera on main north road at the Midway Rd intersection, does anyone know what the speed limit is through it?

Yep. Have it out back. Slower to repair than kikuyu but not a so invasive. Will tolerate shade. If your dogs are likely to create a lot of wear, then kikuyu, if not, the buff is good.

I've experienced both.
If you don't want to spend all your spare time mowing it or controlling the edges stick to the Buffalo.
Kikuyu can burrow under a metre of concrete path and come up on the other side.

Does anybody know who owns or is responsible for the driveway between the road/gutter and the footpath at the front of your own home?
Mine is curved so much so that you bottom out whenever you drive in and out of our driveway.
The Council haven't been much help in answering this question.
i want to have it flattened out so to speak but not sure if the council has to do it or I pay a concreter to do it.
There are no stupid questions, just stupid people.

You the property owner is responsible. To councils satisfaction and they should provide a specification sheet for you to follow.

so they tell me what to do and I have to do it and then pay for it?
I was hoping being a rate payer it would be the other way round!!

what they(Council) told me was similar to what you have posted.

I complained to my council about the dip in the bitumen between the end of my property line and the adjacent road surface in which leaves accumulated.
(We don't have footpaths where I live.)

They sent someone around to look at it, and he concluded the problem was the fire plug for water access was too low and the dip was there to not obscure it. So, they dug it up raised the fire plug to a higher level and renewed the -bitumen - it didn't cost me a cent.

Sir Walter is good but no where near as tolerant to heavy traffic and dogs as Kikuyu
