Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Few rumours going around at the moment:
Hayden Walker has left Balaklava, crossing to Moonta.
Angus Bruggemann from Mallala to South Clare after securing an apprenticeship.
United picked up a few (four or five) from Div 1 or Div 2 amateurs. Names include Jason Turner (ex Henley), Craig Holmes (Rostrevor).
Rowan Prior (Eud-Rob) training with Virginia. Apparently good mates with Marek Sajewicz (Salisbury North) who is heading back to the Rams in 2014.
Two Wells picked up a few SAAFL players living closer to Lewiston.
Hamley Bridge will lose Craig Taylor, Mal Greenwood, Justin Zanandrea and Toby Hasledine. Lachy Norman also leaving? A few others too?
Heard very little from the HWEFC. Ominous? Perhaps.

Obviously you would expect both Turrells, McKinnon and Nietschke to be outs for the Eagles with the change of coach too?

Prior, sajewcik both returning to eud again.
Jason turner has signed with hummocks not united. Former div 1 medalist, also heard the club have signed a few players from amateurs div 5 or 6. A. Ruckman i think. higgs back from kingston. Obviously Ricky hunter is playing coaching HWE to. O'donohue to play potentially play with his bro at cms.
Bruggerman spoken to numerous clubs, sals nth, sth Clare, kapunda. All bar sth Clare would be a good challenge for the big boy.
Hearing on others forums Joel mont to Portland div 1 or 2 I think.

Joel gets talked about every year but heck I'd be very surprised if he left Mallala. Seems happy there, carving up every week.
Will Higgs play with HWE? Thought that bridge burned when he left last year? Great player to get back. Was missed last year.
Turner to HWE is it? I've heard good things about him.

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Should mention Brent Harris supposedly going back to Mallala. Played there in 2011 and start of 2012?

Was a good day. BBQ lunch, hit and giggle cricket match followed by watching cricket and drinking a few beers.
Sure beats running!

Bruggemann currently training with Power reserves squad. Hoping to get one of the 14 spots available there. Going well by all reports.

If he got himself fully fit, there is no doubt in my mind he's capable of playing that level. So mobile for a big fella.

Enough to fill a side.
Whiskey gonna be a big loss for Balak. Hard to replace someone like him. Their new ruckman definitely has big shoes to fill.
Personally I would think Balak recruiting a ruckman would be the last type of player they need, but they've obviously seen a need for it and consequently Whiskey is gone.
Storic with his torn Achilles and in doubt for next year and the rumours surrounding Lachy Michael and South Clare it could be an interesting couple of months for the Peckers.

Re: Adelaide Plains Football League
Lachy isn't going anywhere.
Storic's achilles will be of interest. Had surgery a few weeks back and the cast comes off in about three weeks. Will know more then but the fact he walked off the basketball court and still had some strength left there is positive. That said, achilles can be tough to come back from, ala Ben Martin from Mallala.
Balaklava hasn't recruited another ruckman. Walker going was purely a financial decision. Moonta's offer too good to turn down apparently.
The thinking behind potentially getting another ruckman was to effectively play Walker as a key forward, as he is nearing the end of his playing days and shouldering the ruck load was taking its toll. Undoubtedly a big loss though.

Again? There was a bit of naughty stirring last season about him coming to Hamley, but it was never going to happen. Believe it when I see it

I'm presuming that's the same Jason Turner who was with Barossa District a few seasons ago? If so he was a good player, but must be sneaking up a little in age now

At a cost of 4 points? Doubt they would want to.
