Re: Bands coming to Adelaide
Amanda Palmer's latest project has broken up, but Brian Viglione will be in Australia at around that time as he is touring with the Violent Femmes

Amanda Palmer has broken up with her Grand Theft Orchestra band already?
Just saw AP will be out here in January to play some shows at the Sydney Festival.

Brilliantly pathetic, or pathetically brilliant?
Either way, I did not break out the Faygo.

Re: Bands coming to Adelaide
From the current list there really only is one headliner anyway. Pearl Jam. The rest are seriously.....meh.

Re: Bands coming to Adelaide
Weren't Blur, Pearl Jam & Arcade Fire the three co-headliners?

One band not coming to Adelaide any time soon is Grinspoon, who are playing their final show in Brisbane on Friday night before an indefinite hiatus

It's sad to say, but it's probably been a long time coming...
In my opinion, they started out awesome, but like many bands, they jumped the shark (Chemical Heart, anyone?). Unfortunately, I really couldn't get into them after that.
However, they'll always remain a fond memory of my teenage years.

Phil's clearly moving up in the world though.
Phil Jamieson @ Ramsgate Hotel Tues 25th Feb
I agree with FC no big loss Grinspoon effectively breaking up New Detention was a sign of things to come and then the full blown sellout with Thrills, Kills & Sunday Pills. They never regained their credibility after that.
What is sad is the news the Fireballs have broken up, again. At least I got to see them on their comeback tour in 2006.

That sucks. Have seen them at least a dozen times and they never disappoint.
