Re: Rumours and Player Movement Discussions for 2014
Callinans track record and and ability to win games single handily (2010 GF) means one could argue his one of the best in the last ten years.
For me his been Centrals best in that time, and there were some pretty hand sides to be in
Obviously it's only opinion but yes I would have Callinan in best couple of players in recent SANFL history.

We now have arguably the two best SANFL footballers in the last ten years changing clubs purely for money.
I can understand why but it doesn't mean I have to like it.
SANFL relies on its tribal passion, if players are going to move from club to club like the NBA I can see even more people walking away.

Kieran McGuiness hasn't left the Parade. Mat Suckling returned home for family reasons and Jaryd Cachia was redrafted by Carlton

Callinan would be light years behind the Gowans twins ..... purely from a Centrals perspective.

nutters decision had nothing to do with money. It's all about career progression.whufc wrote:Callinans track record and and ability to win games single handily (2010 GF) means one could argue his one of the best in the last ten years.

He didn't want to play for centrals and go back and be a tradie. He wants to coach

No argument from me.
This is what has reduced my interest in the A League. It's too common to have a player play for 3 clubs within a 4 to 5 year period.

Nick Duigan has walked out on Carlton. No news on what he's doing footy wise but he could come back to The Parade if he wants

Reading Twitter and it would seem a couple of Westies players very upset about the recruits the Eagles are picking up. Wondering where the money comes from.

They were definitely spoiling for a debate.
I did enjoy someone from another side putting the question out there.

Never mind where the money comes from, they should be more concerned about where the money goes
