Every one should get off his back as his injury was pretty bad and obviously needs more time to get back to his best.

If he needs to be dropped to get his confidence back so be it - but I think it would be to the powers detriment and not there benefit.

Tredrea is not my favourite player but I reckon he is being treated unfairly at the moment IMO. Perhaps a role in the backline could assist an overdue return to form.

Agreed .. Perhaps he should play on at every set shot because he seems to be a much better kick for goal in-play, ie, better when it's instinctive.

Maybe he can have a word with Ian Perrie or Chris Tarrant...

Would not go as far as saying Tredders is back, but it was a step in the right direction, considering the opposition was extremely poor for 3 qtr's

I agree, tonight was one of his better games for the year, still not at his best, but a bag of 4 from the way he was playing before, i think he will take that.

He was Port's 3rd round draft pick in the last draft (pick 55 i think), has been great for West Adelaide this year, made his AFL debut a few weeks ago as a small forward, has great potential, very clever player around goals.

Got some talent there - just a bit brittle - and need a coach who isn't too defensive, and is prepared to trust the smaller guys' pace. [You are not alone there.]

The forward structure was better than it had been, and Thurstans was were he plays best. And, yes, it looks like Tredders is on the way back.

if Tredrea performs well in the next couple of weeks and kicks some goals then we could say hes on the way back. They were only playing Essendon who performed very poorly for 3 quarters. When Essendon were playing well in the last quarter he didn't have an influence, although no one really did.

Well done to Tredrea anyways for 200 games and 4 goals. I feel for the guy who has struggled with poor form and injuries and also being captain of the club through their previous defeats, it is alot for him to deal with all at once.

If Port were still on top and still winning I don't think Tredrea's poor form would be an issue.

At pick 55 he is an absolute steal.

IIRC he was taken by West as thier second pick in the localini draft! The kid got knocked back by all SANFL clubs.I know some clubs may have identified him as a talent who would not give them much service any way,but all clubs?

He has good hands, poise and strength in the contest, keeps his feet, kicks for goal from a set shot like most of his elder statesman would envy.

We have got one here I tell ya.
