That seems a trivial thing to carry on about to me, unless you are very keen to, and grasping at every straw.
While I respect Nelson Mandela for what he did in South Africa, I can't see why we have to lower our flag for every foreigner who dies no matter how well known, or what they did for their own country.

mandela was another level. and especially when you look at the last instances of the flag at half mast, and they were for mostly former state ministers, it seems a small but significant gesture that should have been made
